Welcome once again to Dubco Sessions bringing you today the musical stylings of Berd.

Originating in Dallas, Texas, he took to music like a moth to the flame spending a lot of time traveling and experiencing different grenres from Colorado to New York City. His musical interests outside of electronic music such as funk, punk, and blue grass have lead him a number of places creatively, and are no doubt the cause for his diverse and interesting DJ sets. 
Finding deep inspiration in the music of Jam bands such as phish, his friends joke that he will be the pioneer of the new genre “jam tech” incorporating elements of jam band music and techno.

For today’s session, Berd chose some of his favorites featuring some solid deep, minimal, and classic sounds taking you on a mellow journey through the underground. His first release is due to come out in winter 2015, but while you wait, throw on some ear buds and enjoy dubco sessions vol 5

After joining the Dubco crew a year ago, Common Notion is ready to release their first EP entitled "The People."
The People started as an experimental track in one of the duo's South End home in Boston, MA, but later evolved into a more serious late night beat after a few more sessions working on it. After months of being unable to put the final touches on the track, they enlisted the help of DLYCAT who resides in Brooklyn NY, and is one of the original members of Dubco. After a few weeks with the track DLYCAT was able to apply his expertise and add important characteristics to the track ultimately wrapping it up.
After the final mix and master, regular Dubco contributors In The Night and Testudo signed on to add their own flips on the track making for a very well rounded EP.

For our next release, we would like to welcome the humble Nick Garcia to the Dubco Records family. Nick Garcia has been hard at work lately at Yoshitoshi, but still has been cranking out remixes and originals with many underground artists, including Alt-ok, Twistyknobs, and Dubco's Colin Domigan. He sent us Stress EP a while ago and we were are finally ready to release it this Friday, Feb 6th.
