"Malek" was my first music project. I finished it in 2009 and continued it under the names "eddie mars" and "wenzel mehnert".
This set however is from 2006 - 2009.

Under "Malek" I made round about 30 tracks all influenced by Drum n Bass, Hip Hop & 2Step.
What they all have in common is a high degree of "gefrikkel", which means love for details, cutting samples and a lot of micronomic changes and automations to make the music more alive.

The title "musical polemic" shows the controversy within the music and the different tracks and genres in this album.

Inside this folder is an 'album' of 29 tracks created between 2014-2015. Many of these have only been played out in a club environment, remaining unheard until now. Interested in a wide range of music,mainly with an electronic edge/dub sensibility.All the tracks here are rough cuts done over the last few years.All are off the cuff improvisations - one maybe two takes at the most - throwing ideas around to see what evolves.
