Zinc Feat. Miss Dynamite - Freenote (Vocal Mix)

@TerenceDonovan came to our second party in March (w/@Tessela & @PearsonSound) and a little while after, he sent us this mix. After jamming "Are You Sorted?" all summer we were inspired to create this podcast. A few months later, after playing night 1 of the 2016 Full Moon Gathering (w/Sorted co-founder @newnumbertwo) and at Sorted 4 (w/Cut Hands & Veronica Vasicka) we asked him to be a resident. We were floored when he said yes :-)

We asked Terry to write some words about this mix and here's what he had to say:

"Laserdrome: Peckham, London - 1993.  Mickey Finn is playing an oddly broad spectrum of jungle and techno. I remember enjoying the wider reach of his set at a time when jungle was starting to splinter in tighter subgenres. At some point the main room swelled with an influx of nervous looking ravers. It turns out someone had pulled a gun in the house room, and the house room had quickly emptied into the main arena.  This only added to surreal nature of a space that did its best to put you inside some sort of futuristic carnival ride.  The panic was obvious  on some, but others were quickly absorbed into the energy of Mickey Finn.  I tried to stay out of the crowd surge and stayed close to the stacks and a bloke asked me if I was sorted.  I was happily enjoying the mixed emotions of the night, when the police brought things to a predictable end.  Fast forward 20+ years and I wander into a Sorted party in Denver, and once again I’m enjoying dj’s who are reaching a little wider. Among the eclectic mix of the evening Arsonist by Micky Finn & Aphrodite gets played…All in all, a quality night."
