Kobi and I have known each other well before we had ever met; over those epic Deep Dish '90's sessions at the legendary Haoman 17 club in Tel Aviv. While we shared a deep love of dance music, his trajectory veered into LA nightclub operation, promotion and ultimately, his ode to the seemingly perfect venue, Sound Nightclub. I still remember the tour he and Craig Pettigrew gave me before they opened the doors. It was - and is - beautiful.

Over the past decade, with each visit, I watched as Kobi tweaked, fine-tuned. revamped, and upgraded endless times - never missing the slightest detail - to ensure that gave their crowd and the numerous top-tier artists who've graced that booth, the perfect nightclub experience. From the layout...to sound, production and staff, Kobi nailed it; it's why Sound is on a very short list of venues I'd be willing to do an open to close set.

So a very happy 10yr anniversary Sound Nightclub and congrats to my brother Kobi; hope you all enjoy my 6hr journey from last month.

"For this mix I tried to imagine myself back at the SXM festival, remembering the two times I played there, to get the great vibe that was there each time. This mix represents what I'm playing at the moment, groovy and melodic. I have of course put some of my productions, including the 3 tracks from my next EP which will be released on March 17 on Warung Recordings. There is also my remix for Dense & Pika’s track 'Apache' released last October, and also the Super Flu remix of our track 'Connivence' by Nicolas Masseyeff and me, released on our label Diversions Music also last October. Nicolas will also be playing with me at the festival, I can’t wait to get back!"

Patrick Bodmer, also known as M.A.N.D.Y., has seen the best of what the electronic music scene has to offer in his two-decade career.

He grew up in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, when the German techno scene of the 90s was blossoming with the influence of Detroit techno and the UK’s acid house. With momentum quickly growing, Patrick’s passion for music was taking the lead in his career, so he quit his other day jobs and moved to Berlin where he started the labels ‘Get Physical’ and ‘Kindisch’ together with DJ T. and Booka Shade. Together, they produced tracks such as the remake of “O Superman” in collaboration with Laurie Anderson, as well as “Body Language” in 2005, which became the pinnacle of the newly named genre “Electro House”.

With the fast-growing discography (including remixes for Royksopp, The Knife, Tracy Thorn, Mathew Dear, Damian Lazarus, Miss Kittin, Black Coffee, etc.) and the signing of new artists, M.A.N.D.Y. created an abundance of original music that crossed the house and techno genres.

M.A.N.D.Y. created their own event series and performed at festivals around the world, such as Glastonbury, Coachella, and Loveparade, with residencies at Watergate and KaterBlau, Fabric, Privilege, Amnesia, Pascha, etc. Compilations and podcasts for the likes of Fabric, Renaissance, and the BBC1 “Essential Mix” followed after.
