Uncertain drops heaving five-tracker ‘Escape’ on Rekids Special Projects this November.

Formerly known as Boriqua Tribez, Uncertain has been a driving force in electronic music for over two decades, releasing music under a host of aliases across a number of respected labels. With recent appearances on Kneaded Pains, Suara, and Tronic amongst others, Uncertain now sets his sights to Radio Slave’s Rekids Special Projects, delivering five bone-crushing techno tracks for the label.

Leading the release is the title track ‘Escape’, a high energy start to the EP. ‘Base’ follows with a dose of funk as warped samples and rumbling kicks twist into a rolling groove, before ‘Crush’ brings swinging drums and vocal snippets together for a rowdy cut. ‘Transmit’ marries synth stabs with heavy low-end and subtle hooks before ‘Organic’ closes the release with a direct combination of wonky pads, classic drum machines, and cleverly utilised FX.

The end of 2022 comes with a milestone for MindTrip, which is our 50th release. Two years after their first collaboration on MindTrip, we welcome back head honcho Pfirter and Leipzig’s DJ, producer and Recorded Things‘ founder Oliver Rosemann, with the fourth installment of their shared project inspired by the Greek Alphabet.

Reboot rolls out TEC148 and takes us ‘Behind The Scenes’ on his debut release for SCI+TEC. This powerful performance is split into three acts, opening with the epic title track and its tidal of techy synth that snarls from the opening bar. Almost overwhelming, the first foray subsides as we’re bathed in a sparkling, trance-like melody. Whilst the growling lies beneath the glitter overcomes to produce an incredible opener. 

The shimmering sounds and contrast work wonders again on act two, ‘Duende’. An understated, warm and groovy bassline provides the backbone and is drizzled with drops of ivory as Reboot soothes us with his piano melody and orchestral strings. Topped with piercing cymbals, Duende leaves us excitedly awaiting the finalé. 

Reboot throws us a curveball with his final track ‘Circumstance 23’. From the joy to jack, the closing number drops like an electrified ball of funk. Snares, hats, rimshots and buzzing bass might make Circumstance 23 a perfect final act here, but sets it up to be the perfect party starter everywhere.

Long time Minus artist Jon Gaiser is back with his fourth studio album - III. 

Throughout his career, Jon Gaiser has been synonymous with forward thinking techno and sensory stimulating live audio visual shows. Mixing up both analogue and digital recording techniques, his abstract music never fails to be both cerebral and cinematic as well as fresh and physical, never ceasing to place you right in the centre of his own special universe.

Since 2014’s ‘False Light’, Jon has continued to headline shows around the world, while constantly producing new material to test in his live sets. Always evolving whilst remaining true to his singular vision for techno, this trained percussionist and skilled drummer once again confounds expectation with his latest opus.

When all the tracks here are added together into one musical experience, it makes for a fluid, expertly programmed ride that takes you somewhere new and exciting, as is always the case with the one and only Gaiser.
