For this episode and for the followings, I wanted to give the floor to some artists I admire and respect a lot. I believe everyone has ideas, a voice, opinions they want to fight for. I believe we can aspire for a better future world through music. Today, I have invited @aahan91 to record a Mixing for a Cause podcast.

Toronto’s Aahan has steadily seen a growing following of techno listeners from all over the world, along with support from industry standout artists, like Dax J, DJ Stingray, Perc, Stephanie Sykes to name a few. With releases landed on labels like Monnom Black and Clergy, the future looks bright for Aahan, who brings his relentless take on techno to BitterCaress’ label, MFC Records (@mfcrecords). 

MFC Records' second release is a Single Artist EP with 3 tracks from Aahan, and a remix by Luna Vassarotti (@luna-violenta-1).

This EP aims to raise awareness about a cause that the artist defends and that is dear to his heart. We are talking here about violence against women in Turkey. Aahan has been watching the women’s rights movement in Turkey for a while now and thinks it is an issue that needs more attention from the media and the public at large.

The non-for-profit organization supported for this release is the Mor Çatı Women’s Shelter Foundation. This was established in 1990 by feminists in order to combat violence against women in Turkey.
