THIS IS A GOSPEL RECORD!

When I wrote this song… I intentionally from the lyrics to the vocal layering to the bridge and modulations; recapture and celebrate the music that I grew up on as a black boy from Deep South in the early 90s -2000s.

If you know that era of music, Fred Hammond, Kirk, Donnie, Bryon, etc. The gospel Legends than you hear the references. And I particular wanted to lift up the writing style of that era. So you’ll hear in the verses a nod there too! 

Finally the audience joins in on the Bridge as we modulate Higher and Higher and if your like me you’re transported back and forward to a place. The Black church, gospel Music in its essence!!!
