Three is the number, Basement Toolz the titel. Once again Rat Life Records is taking Mickey on a night out to the sewer. Here are two tracks made by Credit 00 with a borrowed TR 909 drum machine. Side A is called Korg tha Groove, as the title already reveals, it`s inspired by a classic Detroit Techno cut. Can you tell which one it is? On the Flip side you will find 909ish, one drum machine and one synthesizer, which is not much but all you need and more, plus there is extra noise on the clap to amplify your face slapping pleasure.

South London Ordnance debuts on Parachute.
The British producer marks his first release of 2017 with Parallel Window, a four track EP featuring three wrought-iron originals and remix from Token & Blueprint affiliate, Sigha.

Driven and direct, the music marries rolling low end with high energy drum machine percussion and wide angle highs - for the most part eschewing anxious, heads-down austerity in favour of a more uplifting, trance- like approach - spread across multiple BPM’s. Despite the heady, crushed finish - shifts in tone are subtle, developing over prolonged periods, with careful modulation drawing sounds in and out of the sonic hinterland sporadically to create a comfortable atmospheric balance between peak-time dance-floor urgency and hazy mid-set moments.

On his remix, Sigha hones in on this sentiment - lifting the caustic lead bassline from Parallel Window and augmenting it with trademark cavernous low end, skittering highs & a rolling lead arp to create a hypnotic, half-time dirge.

Ante Simic works under the name of Dubok, and is a Techno/Bass musician from Split, residing in Zagreb, Croatia.

Dubok seriously got involved in electronic music when he co-founded LoopJunkies in 2004. He began working as a promoter, moving on to VJ work, as well as graphic and motion design, and went by the name of Xplode.

Soon after, Dubok began working as a DJ and getting into music productions, and moved from smaller gigs to larger ones, enabling to share the stage with such acts as Mickey Pearce, Roska, Seiji, Zed Bias, Herbaliser, A Guy Called Gerald, LTJ Bukem and others. Dubok was also featured at many festivals, including Outlook, Hideout, Seasplash, Voi'Sa, Atlantis and Burning The Beach. 

His DJ sets can vary from Post-Dubstep tunes backed by deeply twisted bass-lines, to 4/4 Techo driven bass tunes with a pinch of Acid – whatever you want to call it, it works on the dancefloor!
