Connecting his raw emotional feelings with the steady thrum of kick drums and basslines, Ali Demir considers his musical selections his own powerful form of personal therapy. Having grown up in Antakya (aka Antioch the city of civilizations), his early childhood years were heavily influenced by the ancient ethnic melodies that permeate both time and culture. Firing a desire to connect them with a more modern electronic style. That desire is still burning bright to this day, and currently materializing in the form of polished vinyl releases from acclaimed labels like @Modeight-Records & his upcoming 4-tracker on @USeries Records. His specialty is the curiously familiar sonic space that's both dark and mystical. Balancing rhythmic prowess with an almost otherworldly blend of textures and overlays.

But words are somewhat limited in their descriptive efforts, so it's with great pleasure we offer up this superb mix from Ali, featuring 100% of his own solo material. Defining his sound at this time with mostly unreleased originals.

Pleased to announce that our 59th Podcast in our series comes from Triff Triff.

Born and raised in Timisoara , Romania, but soon citizen of the world. Music has become since little a source of inspiration and a deep influence in his life to the point of choosing the life behind the decksworld. Coming to United Kingdom , Birmingham opened up a new scenario the underground romanian minimal. Formed his artistic background playing in different venues of the city but never the less private minimal parties. His style embraces the deep minimal Romanian tones taking inspiration from artists like Raresh , Cristi Cons , Cap and Arapu to lighter and more melodic sounds. Music makes the abstract become real and through it we can achieve higher and deeper forms of inspiration and elevation. Among the artists that became his main sources of inspiration is Raresh play a major role in his sets; his main goal is to spread the vibe of the rominimal researched underground sounds and create unique and special parties also thanks to his vibe and presence on stage. Production is also one of his main goals for this year 2021.

BICKEL [Synapses Podcast 0015/2022]

Born in Bacau, the city where the Romanian minimal started, and being able to grow up nearby the likes of VID and other Zebra Club legends, Calinie started dj-ing about 5 years ago and producing his own music shortly after. Pending between dark progressive and upbeat melodic tempos, he managed to warm up for Raresh, CaLLy, Primarie and others while building his own reputation as a great DJ at parties around Romania. Meanwhile, about a dozen labels have released his productions and one of his most successful appearances was to land an amazing track on the Telurian compilation last year. Now he is working on a brandnew material to be featured on his first proper album on Zebra Records.

Muzica mea este inspirata de artiști ca Dubtil, Raresh, Rhadoo iar lista poate continua. Prin muzica creata de mine încerc sa exprim o latura a mea care nu o pot  exprima în cuvinte. Muzica electronica va avea o mare amprenta asupra muzici în general și încerc din tot sufletul sa pot tine pasul cu ea pana la sfârșit.
