Bio:
Claudio Zomparelli, aka CL-ljud took his first steps as a DJ in 1993. He began playing clubs in his home province of Latina, Italy in 1996. In 2001, after honing his skills in the Italian DJ circuit, Claudio decided to travel to London seeking to gain experience outside of his home town and find his true sound as an artist. Not long after, this allowed Claudio to attain a residency at Itaca Ibiza for the summer. Over the years he has played in cities such as Rome, London, Ibiza, Palma de Mallorca, Athens, Gdansk and Odessa. Today Claudio has integrated all his musical upbringing him into his productions which have seen him releasing with a variety of established labels.

New year and a new DSSmix this time we invite our in-house friend, Baffa. 

 A Venezuelan DJ/Producer based in Barcelona, Spain, with an extensive musical career encompassing DJing, sound designing, and audio post-production. 

He was part of the Venezuelan trip-hop band Sur Carabela in the late ’90s and early ’00s. Later, he became a member of the band Chucknorris, and currently, he collaborates with Moreon, releasing music on labels like Visionquest, No.19, Berg Audio, Budare.

Recently Baffa launched his last solo colab on Pa Volar Records.

1. How and where was the mix recorded?

The mix was recorded at my home, using two Technics Sl1210´s and my trusty Pioneer DJM1000 mixer

2. Can you tell us about the idea behind the mix?

Well, i probably just recorded what i would do live at a venue. The difference is that there was no one around, so i was just playing for myself and following my own vibe. Lately my mixes are much about trying to strike a balance between storytelling and groove, between fun and deep emotions, basically trying to transmit an underlying message while people dance, so thats the same idea behind this mix.

3. What are you up to next? Projects, ideas…

Well its has been an unexpectedly busy year for me, so im still trying to process many things. I was lucky to receive support from many colleagues, and was able to release a lot of music i´ve made myself and in collaboration with others in 2023.  That's mostly the result of actually not planning anything and just doing what truly felt right and fair at the moment, so i plan to continue doing that for this new year.

4. Lastly, for you what is Dance, Shake, Swing!?

Well apart from your brand, those three words together sound like spontaneity and honest fun while the “!” bring the stakes up :D.  i think it goes well with what you guys are doing so keep it up!.
