If you've been around the Dutch dnb scene for a while, there's a good chance you've either heard of Creek or have been to an event that he's involved in. For the past several years, Creek has been a key person in the deeper dnb scene, working on events like Tribe down in Breda and also being a big part of the highly successful organisation Curated By, both of which have been personal favourites for us to visit over the past years and still very much are! 

On top of this Creek also frequently happily showcases his skills behind the decks, you can hear the jungle and Bristolian influences run deep in this mans love for the genre. 

If you're in the mood for an hour of some of the recent sounds from our much loved genre being mixed with an effortless feeling, this is the mix for you!

It's a milestone moment for an artist whose output has matured, marinated and developed for over a decade to a natural pinaccle.

M-zine represents everything we love at Sofa Sound and the album is layered with warm textures and organic tones to form a rich body of work with great depth that rewards both your patience and your sound system.

With influences rooted in dub, techno, funk and soul, M-zine embraces the lost art of simplicity and is focused on getting the most out of just 4 or 5 core elements so everything works together nicely in the mix.

Written mostly during covid; clubs were closed, but M-zine had his rig at home and used the isolation to craft his own little soundscape; something pure and introspective, nice and simple.

Its subtle, meditative and Sofa Sound through and through - a warm collection of tracks for you to appreciate.

Black Barrel returns to Dispatch Recordings with a bang with the “Play EP”. Four varied and eclectic tracks packed with his distinctive production flavour. Easily recognisable by his vocal sampling style and quick edits with precision percussion, the Russian roller brings the funk every time.

The dub inspired “Whatah Bang” sees Black Barrel’s glitched out take on dubwise. The heavy hitting title track “Play” contrasts bright atmospherics with an infectious, growling bass. “Somebody Serious” matches serious bass modulation with a hard stepping drum line and “Burn Up” slowly builds and twists through rumble bass and spaced out breaks.
