As an iconic home to emerging dubstep talent for almost a decade, Dub Police have played a pivotal role in the genre's sonic evolution. As key whistleblowers if you like, they were first to champion the sounds of genre-defining artists like Rusko, Emalkay and Trolley Snatcha and have continued to build on that legacy with label boss Caspa leading the imprint firmly into the future. To celebrate just how far they've come, Dub Police are proud to present 'Past, Present & Future', a 45-track compilation album that showcases the evolution of their sound, by those who helped make it happen. It will be available across three formats; digital, CD and as part of a specially-curated vinyl package that will see two tracks taken from each section and pressed to 12'' wax. Tracks include those never before released on vinyl alongside a number that have completely sold out, including L Wiz's 'Girl From Codeine City', a track out of circulation for near on six years, and The Others & Emalkay's coveted banger 'Fallout'.

Going from incredible wet basses to big textures reminding you of a spaceship entering the stratosphere. Business box means business. Spud has Audeka flirting with hip hop style synth lines drenched in shattering basses: "A sort of technical experiment working with bitcrushed/compressed kick drums to create sub tones and textures. The name 'Spud' was inspired by the sort of ripping textures in the track that sound like pulling roots out of the ground. "As Skyler puts it.

Like a good abstract painting this release reveals it's intricacy trough textures rather than tones. Trough groove rather than tempo. Weird out of place double bass jazz breaks that are interrupted by heavy synth bass intermezzos make the title track a rather fun listen. Skyler on Business Box: "A sort of humorous tune at heart. We imagined the days of black and white, and a kind sir waltzing to work in the morning saying "Bully Day!"
Finally the 4x4 to the floor track, and first for Audeka: "Not the most impressive tune in terms of sound design, but we enjoyed the vibes. Was nice to take a break from doing sound design driven tracks, and create something that made us want to dance a bit.This track carries some extra value because it has been in our hard drive for nearly 2 years. We never really found a home for it until now, so it feels great to be able to show it to some people!" And we are very proud to be that home!

More than pleased with this stellar remix added to this already wonderful release. Going out at 174. In style... Lockjaw style. Fresh, clean yet hench and dirty. Just the way we like it

Setting the stage for CBDB EP, SubDocta pairs up with TLZMN for the understated yet powerful “ShipWreck,” a descent into uncharted waters teeming with both producers’ unmistakable sound design. Representing the EP’s title track, SubDocta and Freddy Todd join forces for a turbulent, energetic bass number that’ll make the crowd shake. SubDocta takes matters into his own hands on “Broke The Yolk” and “Smug,” two all-new tracks that take his signature sound to the next level. “Broke The Yolk” is driven by guttural bass and belligerent vocals, landing somewhere on the line between deep dubstep and experimental bass; “Smug” represents SubDocta’s knack for kinetic energy in the form of drum and bass, cooking up a dark, desolate landscape made for two-stepping.
