My cousin was fighting cancer off when I first found this awesome song. I kept listening to this a lot of that Summer when we went down to visit him and our family.

Man was a true lion of a person, physically and mentally. He spent a year “in the arena,” sparring with his cancer, fighting it back with everything he had. A mom, brother, sister-in-law, two nephews, and a big family and lot of friends to fight for.

Sadly, after a little over a year of fighting the good fight, he suddenly and unfortunately passed, mid-last year. I haven’t listened to this since then, for obvious reasons. But I definitely think of my cousin Mike every time I hear this song now.

So here’s to you, cousin Mike. Michael G. I love you man, and we all miss you all the time. I know that if there’s any justice or kindness in this world, that you’re out on the water right now, fishing with the man upstairs. <3 Here’s to you, Mike.
