Piper Perabo plays Violet, a songwriter from New Jersey who moves to New York to become successful in order to hand all her songs over to someone else, despite her sounding exactly like a singer and overcoming her hereditary stage fright by the end of the film. BUT. That’s not really what the film is about. It’s about Coyote Ugly, the bar she works in while trying to write her music. It’s also about that Australian dude that was in a film about boots once. Despite his slut shaming and aggressive behaviour, we can see these two are going to have a great future together.
