Daphne Oram visionária da música eletrônica, uma verdadeira pioneira que desbravou caminhos sonoros nunca antes explorados. Nascida em 1925, ela foi uma das primeiras compositoras a criar música eletrônica e a praticar a música concreta no Reino Unido. Como co-fundadora do BBC Radiophonic Workshop, Oram foi essencial no desenvolvimento da música eletrônica britânica, e seu trabalho inovador na trilha sonora do filme "The Innocents" de 1961 foi pioneiro na trilha sonora eletrônica. Ela inventou a técnica Oramics, que transformava desenhos em sons eletrônicos, e foi a primeira mulher a dirigir um estúdio de música eletrônica independente, bem como a projetar e construir um instrumento musical eletrônico. Sua influência é sentida até hoje, e sua paixão e inovação continuam a inspirar músicos e criadores de todo o mundo.
