And here we already are, in the next, the third 12inch round of the Sonar Kollektiv/Daniel Grau remix orgy. This time Ray Mang, Soul Clap, Debonair and Trujillo together with Miguel Molina are in on it.
The Venezuelan six-piece combo Los Amigos Invisibles did re-record „ El León Bailarín” off Grau's album by the same title from 1980 and the UK disco king Ray Mang hand-crafted a bass driven, dubfunky slammer out of it. That's the music the most beautiful girls in town want to wiggle their hips to.
Sitting still will also be no option hearing the extra funked-up remix of “To Night” by US duo Soul Clap together with Bosq. This is, by the way, a brand new track by Daniel Grau (after a 30 years enduring creative sabbatical) and is up to now only available on „The Magic Sound Of Daniel Grau – compiled by Jazzanova & Trujillo” (SK281CD / LP).
The Londoner, Debonair comes in with his remix for "Atlantis“ (off Grau's 1979 released album "Disco Fantasy“) not less lascivious at all and pyramids the synth chords with added delays in a fashion you start to feel like somebody is pulling the rug out from under your feet. That was probably his initial intention and he succeeds brilliantly.
On the digital release you get another remix of „Delirio En Fa Menor” as a bonus track. On Reworks Vol. 2 (SK 289) there was already an adaption by Berlin based Max Graef and Delfonic. But while their remix could be assigned to the new school of beatmaking, the remix by Trujillo and Miguel Molina belongs explicitly in the crate labelled „Nu Disco“, right before the „Cosmic“ shelf.
This is the sexy sound of Venezuela today!

It’s been two years - more or less - since the debut release of Editor’s Kutz and the label proudly presents its sixth installment right on summertime. 
Starting things off with a duo working really effectively lately, the label head “VinylAddicted” and the “Whiskey Disco” boss “Sleazy McQueen”. Their “Free (From Social Narcotics)” has not only a powerful and acid message, but also a rolling beat and juicy bassline, frenzy looped keys and raw strings. True dopamine! Kinjo Music’s kid, “Ed Wizard & Disco Double Dee”, comes up next with a “Stellar Dub”, a mid-tempo groover accompanied by a sweet trumpet and brass, fluffing the track with a very cosmopolitan style!
Flip-side belongs to the label newcomers. First “The Silver Rider” uses his disco skills on a little known track. “Good Luvin’ Baby” has that fatty and hearty beat, which in addition to the lazy guitars and female vocals is perfectly made for sun and sand dancing! Last but not least, “Doc Jam” samples a beloved disco hymn, lifting it to a more disco-house and bouncing level.
Pressed on a chillin’, doublemint opaque wax. Limited down to 300 copies. Plastic sleeve, no repress!!!

I have been thinking about it a lot and I have decided that DUFFDISCO007 is the last 'bootleg' I am going to press to wax. It's been fun and I hope you all enjoyed them but I think it's the right time to stop. I am not stopping putting full originals on wax though!

I do however want to continue re-imagining songs and giving my interpretation of them for you to play and listen to and so i'll be giving the reworks away for free. I have set up a donations page if anyone wanted to help with covering the costs of mastering future tracks as i'd still want the best sound possible as I can't afford to be paying for it all myself.

So keep an eye out for new tracks! donate whatever you feel appropriate, of course you can still download if you can't afford to donate.

Whilst some people claim that the number seven is lucky, some people, like Duff, don’t believe in luck, or if there is such a thing as luck you make your own. You can’t rely on anyone else to hold your hand you know, you gotsta forge your own path, they aren’t called the mean streets for nothing. Duff is the sort of man who not only makes his own luck (cos who else is gonna look after you?) but he keeps an eye on his bredren too. Those in the neighbourhood feel safe because All’s Good in Duff’s hood, always has been, always will be, the police don’t even come there, because they don’t have to, that block is on lock-down brother.
 
Though he isn’t some type of machismo, over-the-top (hat back go-on Sly) caricature, it’s just the way it is, nuthin to argue about. He has a way about him, the glare of a Pitbull and the smile of Don Juan, Dusty is his girl yep that’s her real name, the name her mamma gave her on the day she was introduced to this world. The girl is fine that’s for sure but what else would you expect from the honey that rides shotgun with the sonic Casanova. She might call herself lucky. Duff would disagree.
