I have been thinking about it a lot and I have decided that DUFFDISCO007 is the last bootleg I am going to press to wax. It's been fun and I hope you all enjoyed them but I think it's the right time to stop. (you can order the last in the series here - http://www.juno.co.uk/ppps/products/450211-01.htm)

I do however want to continue re-imagining songs and giving my interpretation of them for you to play and listen to and so i'll be giving the reworks away for free. I have set up a donations page if anyone wanted to help with covering the costs of mastering future tracks as i'd still want the best sound possible as I can't afford to be paying for it all myself.

So keep an eye out for new tracks! donate whatever you feel appropriate, of course you can still download if you can't afford to donate.

Blue skies and late nights, camp fires and cheap delights and whisky drained straight from the jar. In a hammock slung below a sky of dreams and sea of stars lay a pop princess and a hip hop pioneer, arms entwined and eyes locked into each other’s stare they whisper sweet –nothings to each other, “You’re flash” he says “take it slow” she purrs back “and don’t even don’t think about going down under!”
 
A mile or two out to sea, floats what has come to be known as a mega-yacht. Aboard his life like an episode of MTV Cribs but with more parties and less gold-encrusted pool tables. Surrounded by beauties by the bevy and sipping on gin and juice, Duff scans the horizon with his telescope (solid platinum, encrusted with diamonds, built in infa red) and spies young love or a new hope. Smiling to himself he thinks “they look different, younger perhaps at least changed, if not for the better but changed at least which is surely a good thing”. He turns to the girls on the boat, one hand pointing to the shore and the other raising his drink to the sky he shouts “I helped create that”

An electronic, organic, and acoustic sound exploration. After their first collaboration in 2022 with the EP Maa Kuuluu, Vinzoo and Qosqi reunite for a new, sensitive and atmospheric project: SU FO, a subtle blend of electronic textures and live instruments.

This 5-track EP offers an introspective journey where machines converse with matter. Between enveloping synthetic layers, soft percussions and finely integrated acoustic instruments, each piece constructs an immersive atmosphere, halfway between the intimate and the dreamlike but still anchored in reality. Machines and instruments speak to each other in a sensitive, sometimes minimalist, always sincere language.

Far from the strict codes of a genre, SU FO draws a free line, somewhere between downtempo and electro-organic. It's an invitation to relax, to deep listening. Each piece weaves a link between human and environment, with hybrid styles that escape labels. This project invites an inner journey, a gentle drift, and attentive listening.

With a consistently sincere and artisanal approach, Vinzoo & Qosqi affirm their artistic partnership, combining refined sound design and acoustic spontaneity. An EP to listen to in one go, with headphones on or as a suspended moment in the background. Between machines and materials, SU FO tells a moving story. Samosa has had a fine year in 2020 and still has time to squeeze out one more vital disco offering. Following on from afrocentric Souldynamic and C. da Afro releases for the 19th volume of their VA compilation, this time drafted in is Mexican producer The Funk District who serves up four dazzling gems. High energy sounds, 70s film references, Latin flair and cosmic disco all feed into these tracks which are packed with bristling good times, feel good grovers and plenty of hands in the air moments. For us, 'La Rapina' is straight Latin dance floor gold that takes the EP's top slot.
