The retreat theme is “What Happens when we die?” at Plum Village, France. This is a 26-minute portion of the talk offered from the Stillwater Meditation Hall at Upper Hamlet on June 12, 2014. Both the video and audio are available below.

In this talk we return to many common teachings of no-birth, no-death as illustrated by the corn seed and the corn plant, the cloud and the cup of tea, and seeing ourselves as a 5-year old child. We are reminded that we carry all our ancestors in our body. When we walk, our ancestors walk with us at the same time. We don’t just walk for ourselves, but we also walk for our ancestors. The same is with our spiritual ancestors – we are the continuation of these ancestors too. The teaching also reminds us how to work with our more difficult ancestors in order to discover healing and transformation. We can turn our anger into compassion.

This meditation is intended to assist you in releasing trauma from your central nervous system.

Many empaths, starseeds, or old souls entered into lower frequency or very dark family situations in this lifetime.  The divergence in your frequency versus your primary caregivers can result in an unhealthy attachment.  Attachment trauma alters our baseline for safety and security. This insecurity can leave empaths in constant overload in relationships, your fight or flight kicks in based on memories from the past — even in safe situations.

Even if you experienced a seemingly loving family situation, many old souls carry an inner knowing or remembrance of higher dimensional lifetimes.  You may not perceive your early experiences in this lifetime as traumatic, but may be experiencing the resulting damage in your nervous system simply from incarnating into the 3D matrix of energy.

This held trauma can be released and full healing can occur through awareness and practicing various breathing and meditation practices. This healing meditation is meant to assist in that process.

What does "Merkaba" mean?

The word Mer-Ka-Ba is made up of three smaller words: Mer, Ka and Ba. These words, as we are using them, come from ancient Egyptian. There are several pronunciations of Merkaba such as Merkabah, Merkava, and Merkavah. We generally pronounce the word with the emphasis on the second syllable: Mer-KA-ba. Others pronounce it with equal accent on each syllable such as: Mer-ka-ba.

*Mer = Refers to a specific kind of light that was understood in Egypt during the 18th Dynasty following the reorientation of religions toward the worship of a one God of all creation. "Mer" was seen as two counter-rotating fields of light spinning in the same space. These fields are generated when a person performs specific breathing patterns.

*Ka = Refers to the individual spirit of a person.

*Ba = Refers to the spirit's interpretation of its particular reality. In the human reality, Ba is usually defined as the body or physical reality. In other realities where spirits don't have bodies, Ba refers to their concepts or interpretation of reality in the realm in which they exist.

What is the Merkaba?

The Merkaba is a counter-rotating field of light generated from the spinning of specific geometric forms that simultaneously affects one's spirit and body. It is a vehicle that can aid mind, body and spirit to access and experience other planes of reality or potentials of life. In fact, the Merkaba is even much more than this. Those who have learned the Merkaba meditation have stated that they have learned more about themselves, connected with their higher selves, and moved to new levels of awareness. The Merkaba is a tool that helps humans reach their full potential.

The Merkaba is a crystalline energy field that is comprised of specific sacred geometries that align the mind, body, and heart together. This energy field created from sacred geometry extends around the body for a distance of 55 feet. These geometric energy fields normally spin around our bodies at close to the speed of light, but for most of us they have slowed down or stopped spinning entirely due to a lack of attention and use. When this field is reactivated and spinning properly, it is called a Merkaba. A fully activated Merkaba looks just like the structure of a galaxy or a UFO.

The Merkaba enables us to experience expanded awareness, connects us with elevated potentials of consciousness, and restores access and memory of the infinite possibilities of our being. When the Merkaba meditation is performed correctly, the Merkaba fluidly integrates our feminine (intuitive, receptive) and masculine (active, dynamic) aspects of our mind and spirit.

Around the world, so much is misunderstood about the Mer-Ka-Ba, the light body created by the brain that surrounds the physical body. And how the Mer-Ka-Ba is involved with ascension into a new world is also misunderstood. The Mer-Ka-Ba is no longer activated manually as it was with the Flower of Life, but is now activated in the ancient manner through the heart, which is so much easier. (Source: Drunvalo Melchizedek)
