In memory of a long-lost friend, Patås comes forth with a relic of a vinyl release in the name of that loved one, featuring one dreamy side in memoriam of the flesh, and one bouncy side for the spirit.

Title track starts it out in a lush and vibrant synthworld pairing up with a dubby techno groove, whole track foaming over with saudade, one part looking back in tears, the other going forward with a subtle smile.

ILU 2 MUCH takes a bit too much sweet emotions and brings it to a restless standstill.

Flip the record over and you get two certified dancefloor scorchers in different trajectories. Bontelabo is a deep and trippy broken beat keepsake using only sampled guitar for its harmonic and melodic content.

Og Så ? is a fresh take on a techno tool, constantly flipping and changing up the material around some good ol’ machine funk, a tune for all the serious clowns looking to get down.

Oslo-based imprint LEK line up their fifth release with the highly anticipated ‘Ole’ EP from label founder and producer Patås...At the heart of the release lies ‘Bontelabo’, a track that submerges listeners in an icy deep-sea plunge. Opening with an eerie cascade of drone-like textures, it conjures visions of frozen horizons and spectral fjords. The track builds slowly, drawing you into its glacial grip before erupting with pulse-quickening techno that barrel like stormy currents. As ‘Bontelabo’ reaches its zenith, it transforms into a mesmerising symphony of submarine signals, oscillating between moments of meditative stillness and full-throttle dancefloor energy.

TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ ALAN BACKDROP

Straight from Northern Italy, Alessio Meneghello or better known for his moniker Alan Backdrop, has been alluring his listeners through his productions characterized with deep atmospheres and a mixture of different genres. Simply put, Alan’s fascination is a reflection of his passion for electronic music and inspiration he gets from the world around.
He is the kind of producer that certainly enjoys his studio jam sessions—this is the reason why he spends most of the time in his studio tweaking knobs on synthesizers, recording and experimenting with the aim to capture and create his exceptional sound.
Alan Backdrop released his debut album, VR Plan, in 2013 on Prologue, an album that includes some of his pioneering tracks, such as “Cherber,” “Medel,” and “Siere.” Shortly, he managed to create his second album, Eria, released in 2014 on Ekar Records, label and platform with which he has a long-lasting relationship and where he released a big part of his discography. He recently joined Mental Modern and Semantica Records where he kicked out some 12".
Alessio's side project is a_000, born from the unprompted come across of him and Enrico Rlt, which resulted in the creation of "Road to Nauta", the very first wax from Ekar Records and "Ness Reworks 001", a 12" containing two original tracks plus two remixes from the label founder and friend Ness.
In addition to spending most of the time in his studio, Alan Backdrop performs in various festivals—the latest in which he performed were Modem Festival and Parallel— and in different clubs and musical events. Fascinated by electronic music and concentrated in the realization of atmospheric musical journeys is the best way to describe Alan Backdrop.

Ukrainian @Svarog splits an EP with Spanish PWCCA on @Granulart Recordings. Monument premiere's Svarog's track "On The Leather Sofa" from the release, that is out on November 18th.

Our 8th contribution comes by the lovely Sabine Hoffmann.

Sabine was born and raised in Berlin. She grew up listening to a diverse array of hip hop, soul, funk and crossover beats. She discovered her passion for spinning vinyl around the early 2000’s, when she was first exposed to electronic music.
She plays a deep blend of techno, electro, Chicago & Detroit house with nuggets of acid, funk and breakbeats rolled in. But regardless of the style, you will always find Sabine playing vinyl only sets as she prefers the warmth of analog sounds and the classic feel of turntables.
Since 2016 Sabine works at the well known OYE record shop in Berlin. She is also hosting a Frauengedeck livestream, which is streamed from the OYE record shop. She herself is the founder of “Frauengedeck”, an event series focusing on an all female line up.
In September last year we could also welcome Sabine as our guest at one of our events. Not only as an artist but also as a great personality we got to know her.
