The Nocturnal Beat ft Solanum (Konkrete Knoxville)
Solanum, sə-ˈlā-nəm, first discovered his passion for Drum &amp; Bass/Jungle during a POTD in 1999 where Dieselboy was performing in Florida. Though he had heard Drum &amp; Bass before, he was changed forever after hearing it live. If you’ve ever seen Solanum perform, you’ve noticed his powerful stage presence and the high level of crowd interaction which comes as a result of passion and hardwork over the years. He gives everything he has in each performance and has made it his mission to expose dance floors to the harder sounds of Drum &amp; Bass.
Solanum is the co-founder and resident of Konkrete Jungle Knoxville, as well as a resident of The Knoxville SoundSystem, the longest running Drum &amp; Bass/Dubstep monthly in Knoxville, TN. He has combined his love of dark Drum &amp; Bass with experience and drive, and has cultivated skills which are continuously evolving. His unique style, technical skills, and ability to destroy dance floors have been much appreciated and embraced in the area as he was voted the winner of Midnight Voyage’s “Knoxville’s Favorite DJ ” in 2011. Solanum has played shows with some of the biggest names in Drum &amp; Bass yet takes the most pride from playing regularly with his crew Borg, Brad T, PM, Macabre, and MC MagicMic. Solanum also has a supportive role in the production of The American Jungle, an upcoming film documenting the North American Drum &amp; Bass scene. You can also find him on the internet radio channel which he created along with the other residents of Konkrete Jungle Knoxville on <a href="http://ustream.tv" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">ustream.tv</a> called Konkrete Jungle Knoxvile Radio.
