Get some ‘Method’ in your madness… Fatalgerian returns to Robsoul with his first full solo EP for the label and it’s loaded with four moments of pure, undiluted jacking house music gold. 
‘House Gangsta’ sets the scene with a classic vocal loop, jazzy chords and a bassline that snakes out, subtly evolving until the very end. It’s backed up all the way with premium behaviour: ‘Late Night H’ grabs our attention from the first couple of bars and keeps us locked through every bumping twist and turn, ‘Method’ takes us into a much darker pasture with an air of Detroitian diesel power while ‘Pursuit Of The Sound’ closes on a moment of sublime timeless house reflection. Shimmering keys, strings on the fills and a bass guitar plucked so tightly the pursuit is over before it even starts. 
Sounds as a pound; there’s nothing mad about this ‘Method’.

Spreading nothing but positive vibes… Robsoul sign out of 2022 and commence 2023 with the best possible intention: ‘These Happy Feelings’, an EP that truly embodies its title in every possible way. 
It comes courtesy of a true New Jersey pioneer Richard Les Crees, a talent who came through on that phenomenal 80s wave as a DJ and translated that unique energy into productions under the name of Filthy Rich throughout the 90s on labels such as Distance. 
These productions had a direct influence on the Robsoul boss Phil Weeks himself so this release is a poignant moment as Richard completes the circle and makes his label debut. Digging deep into the most soulful and uplifting corners of his palette, it’s a resounding EP that belies the frosty winter temperatures. From the big vocal harmonies of the title track to the much heavier, jacking funk of the finale jam ‘What We ‘Bout To Do’, this covers the full range and reminds us that the best pioneers will always look to bring a different perspective and technique. Justin Joe makes his debut on Phil Weeks' Robsoul imprint, nestling under the label's wing for a slice of restless, shapeshifting house.
'Feeling More Life (Good)’ sees snapping percussion, snares and a slow burning 80’s groove that's full of swagger and confidence.  This is backed by the bumpin’ workout of 'Love On The Run,’ which continues the nostaglic vibes by laying down its glassy keys, rasping claps, funky sax line and wah-wah guitar. 
Flip over and things take a darker twist on 'Right Now', as filtered keys and pressurised horns take shots at the hi-hats and heads down rhythm. Closing jam, Pull Up, round things off with its electrified bass groove and cut up vocal to create another strong dancefloor shuffle.

Kicking off the new year in the Guest Mix series is South Shields house heavyweight, Richy Ahmed. Well known and highly regarded within White Isle house circles Richy has held down a stellar residency for Paradise at DC-10, for a number of years now… however, his musical influences reach beyond the broad church of house, branching into disco, funk, boogie, world and hip-hop. It’s this extended material palette that Richy calls upon for his contribution to our mix series, and with fantastic results. Even the most severe January blues will be dealt a blow here…
