Danny Boy is a song by F. Weatherly, set to the traditional Irish melody 'Londonderry Air' in 1913. The song became very popular during World War One, capturing the feeling of nostalgia for home and for those left behind. 
Dorset choir La Nova Singers are here performing an arrangement by Alexander L'Estrange, for women's voices. This was recorded live in rehearsal for their 'Sing for Victory' WW1 commemorative concert on 13 July 2014.
