Described as the genre's "most exciting new talent" his debut EP "GQOM TODAY" introduced a futuristic take on the dark, minimalist sound and went on to top Apple’s Hardcore Electronic Music charts in South Africa, Botswana, and South Korea. His “EDITSSS” projects continue to continue to catapult Gqom into the future through masterful blends of the genre and globally-exhilarating sounds such as baile funk, jersey club and techno. 
As a DJ, State OFFF has played iconic Amsterdam venues and events such as Paradiso, Garage Noord, Parallel, Kanaal40, Appelsap, Lente Kabinet and more. His streamed sets include appearances on Rinse FM, HÖR, and Kiosk Radio while his high energy club sets combine the exhilarating sounds of new age Gqom interspersed with exciting contemporary genres from the African diaspora and beyond.

Dumbanengue Sounds is our curated collection of DJ mixes. In our initial 10 volumes, we spotlighted DJs and Producers from South Africa. For volumes 11 to 20, our focus shifts towards exploring how producers and DJs from outside South Africa are influenced by South African sounds.

@state-offf is on for this 13th volume. The Amsterdam-based producer graces us with an hour of his unreleased music. State OFFF smoothly blends Afrotech, Gqom and Amapiano during this mix. We look forward to the release of his upcoming next Album.
