Rising downtempo phenom @dummysplash guards the Sky Terrace left-flank from his home-base in NorCal. The Brazilian-born, bay-area raised producer splices his South American roots and a deep affection for classic R&B styles into unique, mega-deep, hypnotic, and often enticingly-trippy takes on the downtempo genre. He's been on a tear lately, with releases on legendary downtempo labels such as @wayurecords, @kosamusica, @cafedeanatolia, and @lump-rec, as well as a ground floor role in the super-promising upstart imprint, @phasesmusique. 

Here on the eighth Moonlight Mixtape, he treats us to the truest & most exclusive Dummy Splash experience, with a suite blended solely of originals - some of which are here being heard for the first time, some of which will never again be heard elsewhere.

Bio: Dummy Splash is a music producer operating out of the hippy communities of the Northern Californian mountains. Born in Brazil and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, the cultural influences found in his music range from Afro-Brazilian folk to 90’s Hip-Hop and R&B. This mix is slow, experimental and features a number of unreleased original tracks along with inspiring music from other artists who transcend genres.

Hello friends!! Welcome back!

We hope you had a good holiday season! And we hope you are as ready as we are to get this year started. We are celebrating the anniversary of our Podcast and we're excited to have our friend Dummy Splash for our anniversary episode. We would like to thank every single one of you who've supported our channel in one way or another. And we want to thank every artist who's shared their talent with us! This community keeps growing and expanding, and we can't wait for you to join the ride.

 
Dummy Splash was born in Brazil, raised in the SF Bay Area, and now primarily operates out of the Sierra Nevada foothills. 

His productions represent an ongoing pursuit to blend dance music with the tempos and grooves of R&B, and organic elements from around the world. 

You can find his releases on labels, such as Cafe De Anatolia, Kosá, Lump, Serafin Audio Imprint and Wayu Records.

Most of his discography lives with the fast-growing downtempo imprint, Phases Musique, where Dummy Splash also serves as A&R alongside label owner Oiseau de Nuit.
