massive Latin inspiration here, was really inspired by the concert band I played in at the time with a bouncy cheeky sound.
the end result is truly superb and for what at the time felt like a fluke, I'm so happy with where this has lead me in life now.

I wanted something light and airy but still hopeful, more over, I love flats in music. so to any poor flute players who end up playing this, enjoy Gb major and remember to keep it bouncy

this piece just sort of fell into place
woke up one morning with a tune in my head (spent the rest of the day checking I hadn't heard it somewhere else)
but it was so bouncy and playful that it just had to be expanded on. what started off as a melody quickly became a grand spirit of adventure.
title came from how the oboe always feels like it's reaching or searching for the end of the phrase, but can't quite get it.

Frugal Foraging

Starburnt Skies, man this one took forever...
this piece was constantly getting placed on and off the shelf, lots of back and fourth does this bit work? does this not? probably the most hours I've spent on any one things, and if i was really picky i'd end up rewriting this till the end of time. its also the furthest from my concert band and Kirby routes i'm likely too go.
