Parade - Marbre invite Mickaël Halley (Avril 2022)

This EP captures an intensity that shifts between abrasive electronics and electroacoustic textures, evoking the mechanical pulse of a post-industrial era. Through intricate sound design, Aesthesis explores the depths of the human psyche while maintaining a profound connection to the external world. At its core, the music relies on the transformation of analog sources, shaping intricate rhythmic sequences that emerge from a haze of static and distortion, creating an immersive sonic experience through dissonance.

The EP unfolds in two distinct yet interconnected movements. The first half brings inner frequencies — impacts, collisions, a raw exchange of energies. In response, the second half emerges as the reverberation of that initial rupture, the echoes of a rift forged by chaos. Together, these two halves speak to one another, entwined in a singular, cohesive experience.

1. Inner Frequencies

Antalgie est une composition sur la douleur et son contraire.

Musique à programme, elle comporte initialement huit parties / matières. L’interprète est libre d’utiliser les matières de chaque partie pour créer une nouvelle pièce. Elle a été créée au printemps 2015 lors du concert « Sieste aphone » dans le cadre du Curieux Printemps, organisé par la Métropole de Rouen.

Lors de l’élaboration des parties/matières en 2013, les thèmes et guides furent les suivants :
Apparition de la douleur, disparition des sensations, transmutation de l'écoute.
Comment calmer la douleur en composant. Pourquoi la calmer. Est-ce la bonne solution ? Peut-être faut-il l'accentuer pour mieux apprécier sa disparition. La composition est un acte de bonheur : suffit-il à calmer la douleur physique ? Si la solution n'est pas trouvée, d'autres outils seront à mettre en œuvre. 

Ici est proposé une version remixé en 2025.
