it’s lonely tonight on earth
waiting for sunrise

i speak my smallest thoughts
to my waning correspondences
i sit in a chair silently
and stretch my pale muscles

i turn toward patience slowly
unlearn indoctrinations
stare into my throat through a mirror
these belong to everybody:

the moon in virgo
the ache in my cheeks
the nervous orbits of my eyeballs

i'd like to be a moon like Ganymede
silver coins kissed into my mouth
my surface whipped into icy froth
by the solar wind

Nico Niquo - In A Silent Way

Nico Niquo returns to Orange Milk with the synthetic ambient masterpiece In A Silent Way. The work contains slowly evolving compositions and sound meditations based around the palette of modern grime music minus the percussion. In the songs “Arbo Arco” and “He Loved Him Madly” the grime theme is most present, with droplets of synth and bass rising and melting to suggest invisible kick drums underneath. “Rendered” and “In A Silent Way” begin with simple arpeggios that build to intense climaxes, while closing track “Aa-m” is an almost ASMR-inducing meditation.
