Kapala have instantly bombarded their way into the annals War Metal history, since they released their first EP back in 2017. Hailing from the mystical and violent Kolkata, the band perfectly combines all the aspects of nowadays extreme Underground music into one menacing whole. A perfect balance between cacophany and fast, catchy riffing, blast beats that drill their way into unsuspecting ears and guttural commands spewing forth hatred for this world and glorious supremacy. It is with the greatest pride that Dunkelheit Produktionen presents Kapala's new release "Doomsday Requiem".

Clocking at 22 minutes this newest bullet into the head of weakness is technically an EP but still offers more than enough material to satisfy the hungry crowd. After a short intro, "Exodus of Victory" instantly reminds the listener why Kapala are an absolute top-tier War Metal outfit. The sound is deep and crisp, hammering like an army of iron fists mowing down armies of scum. Unlike lesser bands, these Indians present songs full of analogue realness and genuine destructive feel. Absolute war, but always with the right amount of order to highlight the impressive musical craftsmanship hidden under the pitch-black vitriol.

As the title already suggests, "Doomsday Requiem" appears like a call to war, propaganda for the absolute end to all creation. Dark and full frequencies dance like Shiva in Trance while death gods harvest human skulls on ancient battlefields of Indian legends. Utter brutality freely flows between Death Metal and the best structural aspects of Harsh Noise creating a result which is nothing short of breathtaking.

To say that this new Kapala release is mandatory would be an understatement. Not only is this Warnoise at its absolute finest, "Doomsday Requiem" - just as the previous releases by the band - is a release fit enough to tread new paths and define this subgenre. Pray for Annihilation!

Nobody can deny that Murderous Vision is one of the greats. Active since the late 90ies, Stephen Petrus has created an abundance of highly memorable and well-executed releases under the moniker. Some may have delved deeper into Dark Ambient waters, others deliver full-on Death Industrial with Power Electronics brutality. „Mechanical Opus in Six Stages“ is his newest landmark and another highly recommended release.

There is a feeling of desolation and underlying brutality that shapes the six tracks presented. Often, the compositions seem a tad restrained and hateful, but always with a lot going on under the surface. Upfront black walls, mechanical patterns and shrill screams evoke a feeling of post-apocalyptic wastelands and total annihilation. As the work progresses, Murderous Vision spices things up with that highly cherished brutality known from previous exploits, making the last third of this amazing album truly liberating and harsh.

When it comes to Drone, nobody does it better than Haare. Active for decades, Ilkka Vekka started as a secret tip on exquisite labels such as Freak Animal and Terror and quickly rose up to the top ranks of the subgenre, making Haare one of the biggest names in the game. After four years of silence, the Ambient project Lousberg releases another lengthy opus entitled.... LOUSBERG hails from Aachen and creates sonic art in that old vein that is praised so much. And it will come as welcome news to all those fans of deep and droning Ambient that Lousberg is still using the tricks that have made all his past releases perfect examples of the genre.

One of the many strongpoints of …. is its monumental nature. Wavering patterns of sound appear out of a void of darkness, melt into other drones and build walls of oscillation, strong enough to draw any listener in. Lousberg's newest entry runs for over 70 minutes and is an enticing journey into feelings of cosmic nihilism, melancholy but also bittersweet yearning. Titles like „Anti-Existence“ frankly state that this is by no means superficial fantasy-based material, but a deeply trance inducing meditation of downfall and despair. The recording is heavily inspired by Clark Ashton Smith, an influence that definitely shows.

Still, there is a certain proudness and epic nature to the sounds used in ….. . Especially the title track „Planet of the Doomed and Exiled“ makes for a strong opener, immediately showing that Lousberg is a true master of his craft who is able to manipulate pleasant analogue tones to make them reach into the deepest depths of human consciousness. Mandatory for fans of old school Ambient!

Set to be released blasphemously on Christmas Eve 2016, DUNKELHEIT PRODUKTIONEN is proud to present the highly anticipated second album of Germany's GOATBLOOD, “Veneration of Armageddon”. For the past five years, this chains- and bullet-bedecked power-duo have been polluting the metal underground with their belligerent brand of bestial black/death. A handful of demos as well as a split were vomited forth before GOATBLOOD's momentous debut album, “Adoration of Blasphemy and War”, in 2015. Ever aptly titled, “Adoration of Blasphemy and War” soundly put the band on the international map, and proved that new, gnarly twists can be made to the rigorous bestial metal template.

Alas, with a few more ensuing splits, time has come for the second GOATBLOOD album, equally aptly titled “Veneration of Armageddon”. If “Adoration of Blasphemy and War” pushed the envelope and punished the (un)willing listener, then “Veneration of Armageddon” gleefully takes that garish assault one step further. Across 18 tracks in a swift 'n' salacious 37 minutes, GOATBLOOD explode forth with a pulsing, pestilent savagery from which there is no reprieve. It's dank and disgusting, dungeon-toned and treacherous, whipping the listener into a hellish, hallucinogenic trance. And yet, for however unrelenting all these songs are, “Veneration of Armageddon” retains a rare, ever-elusive catchiness, GOATBLOOD here nodding as much to nascent grindcore like early BLOOD, EXTREME NOISE TERROR, and DOOM as they do BLASPHEMY, BEHERIT, and ARCHGOAT. Almost 18 years have passed since the release of one of the most important releases in Eastern Asian Black Metal history – and now it is finally going to be repressed, for the first time on vinyl! It is time for the “The Great Rites”-EP to finally get the deserved attention.
As soon as the needle touches the vinyl for the first time, one is being transported back to the old days, when Black Metal was defined. Cold hatred is matched with buzzing guitars and an unmistakable atmosphere. There is no doubt: This is a lecture that only could have been created by bands of the second wave of Black Metal and that should be a source of inspiration for more contemporary Black Metal acts from Scandinavia.
Eventually a slight chill will rise from the soil of your “A Blaze in the Northern Sky” because DARKTHRONEs infamous Fenriz was one of the first to notice the quality of NEBIRAS and has honored them by giving his regards in the booklet of said album. His letter exchange with Euronymous shows that Bandleader Agathos Daemon was no stranger to the Norwegian scene. Listening to “The Great Rites” one cannot miss the influences those two contacts had on the sound of NEBIRAS, when time and time again one is taken on a journey through the deepest woods of Norway. Not only did Agathos Daemon stay in contact with the Scandinavian forefathers, but also with the whole rising European Black Metal-scene, with bands such as SAMAEL and ROTTING CHRIST. Being the head of the Watchtower Fraternity Circle, which was the Malaysian counterpart of the famous Black Circle in Norway, Agathos Daemon formed a strong scene with RATOR, CONQUEROR (Mal) and BAZZAH.

Special thanks go out to Wan Syamsul of the Malaysian Deadhead-Zine and Afterlife Productions for making this release possible in the first place. Dunkelheit Produktionen is going to treat this task with the given respect. The release is dedicated to the former guitarist of NEBIRAS, Y. Occultust, who died in a car accident two years before the initial release of “The Great Rites”.

This important piece of Asian music history is presented as 180g vinyl incl. an A2-poster in an edition of 500 copies. The first 150 copies will be collector’s items on red vinyl and the remaining 350 copies will be issued in the most classic color of all: pitch black. The release is single-sided, presenting an occult emblem on the back, matching the aura of NEBIRAS in a perfect manner.

A long over due split release where Sri Lanka’s psychotic auditory terrorists and the legionaries of the 666th battalion of the Raavan cult have congregated to create, manifest and aid world spiritual warfare. 7 deranged and trance inducing hymns of tantric mantras, including not only the infamous “Stoned Guru Ramblings” by Plecto Aliquem Capite and “Buddhang Saranang” by Funeral In Heaven recorded as a tribute to an ancient Sri Lankan cult, this release contains the byproduct bastard progeny “Crestfallen: Immolating Shakthi” purged into existence by fusing ancestral possessions inherited by both projects. Clocking over 50mins of ominous Sri Lankan ritualistic auditory therapy for mentally deranged ancient worshipers of astral energy delivered to you now as digipack cd ! Foreboding in the first seconds, you have to prepare for an almost hypnotic & trance-like induction. „Death Monolith“ is a rare unbridled occasion to hear this hybrid of styles. Not following any norms or rules. It works! This release of sheer audial aggression executed by two anonymous apparations fits well alongside Dunkelheit's latest release of KAPALA. Formed in the depths of Kolkata, KAPALA have had one - and only one - objective since its formation: to play the most intense and bestial musick and annihilate the cesspool. Inspired by such legends such as Goatpenis, Revenge, Black Witchery, Blasphemy, Conqueror, and many other violent entities, KAPALA seek to wage total sonic warfare with a strong obsession for the concept of "Survival of the Fittest." And indeed, they accomplished that in a swift 'n' decisive 20 minutes comprising their first public recording, Infest Cesspool, which was released in 2017 by DUNKELHEIT to worldwide shock & awe. 

Now, with the aptly titled Termination Apex, KAPALA eclipse that feat with an even-more-savage and challenging onslaught that spans a densely uncompromising 26 minutes. Like its equally swift predecessor, Termination Apex displays the power-trio of KAPALA more as a three-man war machine: indeed, their aim is to crush, kill, and destroy all in their path with overwhelming violence and totally OTT intensity. Their arsenal of shredded decibels is even more bountiful here, as each riff and drum hit becomes its own weapon, stockpiled with nuclear power before unleashing wave after wave after unmitigatedly annihilating wave. 

If anything, the most striking difference between Infest Cesspool and Termination Apex is that KAPALA here take a decisive detour from their influences and blast deeply into (and below) the most fetid depths of old-school grindcore, noisecore, and even gabber-leaning goregrind. Each instrument is seemingly mangled beyond recognition, stripped of humanity and anything resembling "normality" - stripped so far beyond the barest essentials, rawness pushed well past the red - that a perversely avant-garde element arises. However, linger under no assumption that such is softening KAPALA's characteristically savage identity: this is still its own blown-out, charred-beyond-redemption landscape, unforgiving and unrelenting and unforgettably so, arguably more than ever. 

If KAPALA left nothing but scorched earth and eviscerated eardrums after the Infest Cesspool was wiped clean, then surely their Termination Apex scatters the ashes across the anticosmos - and far beyond!

By now India is the source of some of the most unworldly combination of sunken magic, ancient knowledge, and bloodsoaked rituals imaginable. Slow and fouling songs with deep growls and remarkable riffs cut through every positive perspective.

Harsh, sharp and manipulating frequencies by CHAOS CASCADE will do the rest and open the gateway of an unknown matrix beside this world. A cruel world behind this world...

KAPALA kick off with a true explosion of brutality. Pounding drums and clear, ripping guitar riffs are mingled together to form a block of truly unrelenting War Noise. Always mainting a perfect balance between musical elements and harshest chaos, the Indian battle unit marches through their side of the split spitting in the faces of those unworthy of life and reaching peaks of brutality which may only be matched by acts like Intolitarian or Tetragrammacide.

CHAOS CASCADE offers yet another approach, expanding their sonic arsenal while staying true to their classical brand of unrelenting barbarism. Dark analogue throbs and crispy analogue textures form a truly demonic atmosphere, which will crush the weak into a mass of bloody pulp. This is mid-paced Power Electronics dominance with elitist War Metal attitude and truly a rope around the neck of human vermin, which gets more and more intense every second, until it reaches the final ejaculation of harshness and dissonance.

„Contamination Alliance“ is brutality and violence condensed into wax and another successful assassination carried out by the German and Indian audial death squads. This is definitely not for the blind and crippled mass, but a declaration of war on modernity.
