In the United States, use of deadly force by police has been a high-profile and contentious issue.[1] In 2019, 1,004 people were shot and killed by police according to the Washington Post, whereas the "Mapping Police Violence" project counted 1,098 killed, of which 24% were black people (despite them making up just 13% of the overall population).[2][3][4]

Police killings are one of the leading causes of death for young men in the United States.[5] 1 in 2,000 men and 1 in 33,000 women die as result of police use of deadly force.[5] The risk is highest for black men, as approximately 1 in 1,000 black men can expect to be killed by police.[5]

In 2020 in full swing and racial tensions running high, Dupes releases a cover accompanied by some of the vocalist he has been inspired by and worked with over the years. "How Many More?" is a cover from the Bajan (Barbados) singer songwriter John King.  The song speaks for itself and speaks volumes as a sign of the times. Saint Lucian - American singer Sherwinn ‘Dupes’ Brice is a songwriter whose music is heavily influenced by pop, reggae and R&B. Having already made a name for himself in his native country, Dupes is now focusing on bringing his own, catchy brand of music to the world. 

Often compared to the likes of Bruno Mars and Wyclef Jean, he is excited about the release of his debut EP, ‘From Saint Lucia With Love’. Stylishly produced and slickly written, it is little wonder that tracks such as lead single ‘Guilty’ have caught on in the Caribbean.
