Made up of husband and wife duo Australian singer/songwriter Kate Elsworth and French DJ/producer Nicolas Blistene, Lunar Disco has appeared on the likes of Defected and Kindisch. The charismatic and glamorous pair recently launched their 1980s inspired Suck My Disco imprint, with the first release, ‘It’s About Time’, landing in late 2021, and follow-up ‘Telephone Rose’ picking up heavy support from BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong. Now dropping their latest single, ‘Sex, Drugs, Money and Lies’, Lunar Disco recruit Berlin’s Nicone and Morocco’s Amine K for a pair of remixes alongside the original. Leading the release, the ‘Original Mix’ sees lush synth licks, subtle basslines, and reverberated vocals together for a funky, groove-led excursion. DANTZE label-head Nicone delivers the first remix, reaching for pumping drums and blissful pads, followed by Amine K’s smooth interpretation, making full use of soft, swinging percussion and dubbed-out chords.
