After a 3-week hiatus, we're back with the FrenzyPodcast series. This time with a key-figure in Polish techno, MKO. For over a decade, the DJ/Promoter has been a vibrant presence in Warsaw's music scene. As a resident of Jasna Jeden and a proud member of Slapsuper crew, he has left his mark. Formerly known for his work with dype - collective and a string of events, his attention is now wholly dedicated to his latest venture, the electrifying club night known as Shadows.

In his sets he tries not to limit himself to one genre, oscillating smoothly between different kinds of techno. Listen to the sound of MKO here, enjoy!

Jurriaan Jansen, also known as 'Jancen,' is a techno producer/dj from Nijmegen in the Netherlands. Growing up in a family deeply immersed in music it was not unlikely that he would start his own musical journey. At the age of 14, he was introduced to the techno sound during a sound check at Awakenings. However, it took another 14 years later that he began producing music himself.

His musical style is influenced by classic dub techno, characterized by a faster and more driving rhythm complemented by a subby low end. This distinctive blend has seen him release on compilations by Mutual Rytm and Be As One, as well as E.P.s on labels such as Drawner and Mitsubasa.

Jansen's music has found resonance across borders, with recent performances in Berlin at venues like About Blank and Kater Blau.

France’s proliferation of techno talent is hard to contest these days, but Mathys Lenne’s here in case you had any doubts. The DJ/producer also goes by The Scan, and makes up half of Classic Blue, pushing forward a steely vision of the genre that’s both shrewd and quick as a whippet. Alongside projects on HAYES, his beats have shown up too as vinyl EP on Blue Hour’s eponymous record label as well as a debut LP on Dutch powerhouse MORD (2023). It’s a hard hitting genus of techno that borrows from the layered and cognitive approach employed by forebears Efdemin and Float Records label boss TWR72. He’s been busy, and found a powerful voice he spends night after night bringing to dancefloors and headphones alike. For Bassiani Podcast 206, the francophone techno envoy weaves a complex mesh of warped kicks that doesn’t let up for a second, a building tension only someone with faculties as sharp as his could successfully maintain. If this is the first time you’ve heard his name you’d be wise to take note, with an ear like his, little can stop him.

Starting to first DJ at off-location parties around Berlin in his youth, Regent has since shared his vision across venues worldwide, including the renown Tresor Club, About.Blank and RSO in his hometown, as well as warehouse parties in Paris or Melbourne to name a few.
Regent’s approach is one of perpetual curiosity, seeking inspiration from all over to break new ground and enrich his music with diverse influences. Always trying to learn from his surroundings en route, he continues to push conceptual boundaries and further deepen his signature past-meets-future sound with standout mixes & productions.

Red Rooms has become a notable DJ and producer in the last few years, with multiple EP releases a year since 2020, on labels such as Õtomo, Planet Rhythm, Drawner Records and Aesir Records. His own music focusses on minimalism and trippy groove. This style can also clearly be heard throughout his sets.

@vsonntag, the Leipzig-based DJ, started DJing techno back in 2019.
With a mix of driving beats, infectious grooves, and hypnotic minimal rhythms, her sets keep the energy flowing.

She's graced stages at well known clubs like Tresor, Rote Sonne, About Blank, and Institut für Zukunft, both locally and abroad in England, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark and Spain.

Being part of the Nebula collective, V:SONNTAG not only spins tunes but also plays a role in organizing events and managing a podcast series. Since the beginning of this year, she has been running the series „ Focus: “ to promote the visibility of FLINTA* artists.
