“Rückzug” by German duo Hedström & Pflug represents the 12th instalment of Room Trax. The pair lands on the label to deliver a selection of four original cuts with their signature groovy sound, plus two reworks from Ketch and Danny Wabbit. Expect plenty of groove, fast and shifting patterns and nods to the minimal era of Techno on this one.

Opening up, we find the track which gives the name to the release. “Rückzug” kicks off with a punchy kick, lively claps and snares, bleeps and a recurring echoing vocal that sticks in your head throughout the whole piece.

A group of conspirators from the scientific underground made a plan to invade the NASA facilities, now abandoned, and take over the remnants of the spaceships still operative to send out from Earth a selection of the survivors of the nuclear war. 
This is the soundtrack of those spaceships crossing the near universe in search of new places to stay or just to sail forever into the unknown.

As a thank you to our beloved community that showed us nothing but support and ap- preciation over the last year, Schimmer Records is releasing a compilation of 27 tracks by our residents and invited artists.

Just as we did last year, we want to use our reach to address the more serious issues the global community faces today and help the less fortunate. Especially the most vulnerable of us, children can suffer under the consequences of the action of others: Abuse, a lack of access to education and misplacement become rampant in times of war and conflict.

Thus, this year we feel the proceeds raised from our Christmas album, which is 15 Euro for the whole album, are best placed with “Save The Children“. After the release is funded 100% of our earnings will go towards the goal of helping children in need.

We wish you a very happy Christmas, a joyful time with the people dearest to you and a happy new year. See you in 2024!
