“3KZ” delivers the first record for the new vinyl label Suburban Avenue. The Ep offers three diverse techno tracks, Bounder, Perception and Oppression, produced by two of finest Italian young talents, Z.I.P.P.O and Kaelan, accompanied by an amazing and classy remix from the master Mark Broom.

A1 “Bounder” is a truly dancefloor killer track, with epic chords and hard groove. With A2 “Bounder – Mark Broom remix” the English techno legend delivers a stunning Detroit influenced remix of A1. B1 “Perception" and B2 “Oppression” are booth two trippy and dark techno tracks with hypnotic synths aimed at the big floors.

You can spot Jimmy Edgar's homegrown imprint from twenty paces -- someone at BR HQ genuinely peered at my screen and said, “bit of Ultramajic, eh?” while I was typing this. The warped club constructions falling off the label’s assembly line take many forms, but often serve as an aural reflection of that typically eye-popping artwork: synthetic, pneumatic, and kinda sleazy.

Chambray’s “Rub” flew the freak flag high all through the summer. Now, as a bonus on his Rub Remixes, we have a remix of deep cut “Untitled” by none other than Len Faki. The longstanding techno don remoulds the track into the kind of functional, weaponised tool that laid our Berlin space to waste back in April.

Joel Mull has been in the Swedish techno scene since way back and has together with guys like Cari Lekebusch, Adam Beyer and Jesper Dahlbäck put Swedish techno on the map. After a busy Spring with the launch of her Neverwhere Radio show, new tracks on Get Physical and mixing their latest Full Body Workout compilation, CAMEA sets the stage for summer with her next Bpitch Control installment. This will be CAMEA‘s third solo release on Ellen Allien’s imprint, following up her highly acclaimed ‘City Watch Over Me’ and ‘Neverwhere’ singles, as well as a vinyl only remix project featuring Deadbeat, Locked Groove and Lee Jones. Now the Seattle-born artist and Berlin resident contributes a great three-track collection for her new single titled, ’The Hallway’, out in vinyl and digital format.
In this selection, CAMEA continues to lay the foundation for her experimental combination of deep house and tech- no with a collection of three mind-bending pieces. The A side track, Wormhole, is a peak time techno space burner for the main stage, while the B-side goes deeper with two kaleidoscopic tech house tunes. The titled track, ‚The Hallway’, is a psychotropic and funky descent, layered with trippy vocals and spaced-out melodies, all connected by an irresistibly towering peak. Finally, ‘Orchestra of Dreams’ concludes her release with a harmonious and passionate dance ballad, rippling it’s way in and out of FM synthesis and orchestral harmonies for an eerie and elegant piece. CAMEA’s sound and ideas speak loudly on this release, sharing with us another part of her journey and adding ano- ther essential piece to her discography and the Bpitch archive.

Definitely, “massive” is the best way to describe this release coming from label boss Andrea Frisina and including a remix of the legendary techno pioneer Joey Beltram ! The original is a masterpiece, a solid techno weapon with an elaborated arrangement, which gives an huge impact to the floor: the whole track is a game of percussions, vocal loops and drums driven by a fat bassline, but amazing and brilliant is the harmonisation of the synths during the pauses as well. The Joey Beltram’s remix is a fresh version, perfect for the summer, it’s really perceptible his imprint in this arrangement as well, which makes it absolutely a monumental track.

Mobilee bosswoman readies her first EP of 2015, with the superb ‘Circle Culture’ EP. The three-track release includes a heady, hiplashing techno injection by Konstantin Sibold & Leif Müller, who impressed with last year’s ‘Kolibri’ on Cocoon.

To many observers Anja Schneider enjoyed arguably the finest year of her already impressive career in 2014; two stunning EPs, a hectic summer touring schedule that saw her more in demand than ever and that debut Essential Mix that still gets talked about in hushed tones.

This year hasn’t seen any sign of her slowing down however; the perpetual motion machine keeps creating, inspiring and pushing forward with all the passion of an artist very much at the peak of her career.

‘Circle Culture’ is a further expression of this and very much indicative of Anja’s creative purple patch, feeling as free as ever to pursue what’s in her head and heart whenever she goes into the studio.

Warm, dreamy and hypnotic, ‘Circle Culture’ has been an exquisite highlight of Anja’s set since being debuted last month, with its spine-tingling break sending collective shivers down the backs of dancefloor occupants – especially those with a penchant for late ‘90s techno vibes.

‘The Squaring’ has tension and release on lock, grabbing you with an exotic lick of melody that builds towards a crescendo as kicks and high hats are gradually added to the heady sonic brew. A tension-filled break gives way to a pounding techno pay-off making it a perfectly punchy compliment to the EP’s A-Side.
The release is capped off by a strong re-work of ‘Circle Culture’ from Konstantin Sibold & Leif Müller that injects a peak-time dose of techno into the original.
