Ge-ology - Re-Fingered With Love

Hugo Horwood (Holo himself) is originally from Melbourne and recently moved to Berlin. His music draws from unexpected genres, including pop, classic rock, acid and 90s hip hop, to create a sound that is truly his own.

The Australian producer burst onto the scene in 2019 after seeing his first track 'Atlas' uploaded on the Houseum YouTube channel and after releasing his debut EP of the same name, with house music heavyweight UK label Shall Not Fade’s sub-label Lost Palms. The EP featured the deep house classic ‘In My Dreams’ that earned over 3 million streams on Houseum channel.

Hugo recently released two EPs on Houseum Records' sub-label Ellipse Records and on Noire & Blanche (Délicieuse Musique). He will play his first gig in Paris this month in September 2022 at La Java alongside Gavinco and HSM (Houseum). An album is in the pipeline on Houseum Records, stay tuned!

As part of the Tout Feu Tout Femme-collective as well as a steady member and contributor for Friendsome Records Tatie Dee has been stirring up the House scene for a moment. And latter does not seem to slow down since she just released a classy and classic EP - her first one - called Purple Wave on Friendsome Records continuing the label's musically taken path, namely that of releasing quality House music exploring various sub-genres it or in her own words: "This EP is the realization of everything I learned. From Acid to House, I oscillated between my two favorite styles to produce four dancefloor oriented tracks." However, Tatie goes into detail with her musical upbringing as well as the EP and many other topics in the interview with Torture the Artist and delivers a blissful hour of pure House music to go with it. Never has a reading pleasure been accompanied with such tempting sounds.

Jens Bakker is a Groningen based promoter, booking agent and DJ. As one of the founders of Onder de Pannen, and part of ODP Soundsystem, he’s a major Italo-admirer. 

‘The sound of Italo always has been, and forever will be, something special to me. 
The uplifting snaredrums, mesmerizing synth’s and compelling drumkicks of Italo are among the main influences that got me into DJ-ing’. 

‘In this episode I decided to play around for a little bit. I just plunged into my collection and wanted to share a wide diversity of Italo flavored influences throughout time and genre’.
