A multinational, mixed group of 26 astronauts stationed at the First International Lunar Base loses contact with Earth. Tensions mount, sparking a debate over what to do next. No signals reach Earth, no radio or television signals, no internet, no city lights visible on the night side, and no visible destruction or weapons of mass destruction effects. There's also no contact with the International Space Station. The resources needed for survival are slowly dwindling, despite the recovery of water from the base's closed loop and from the lunar soil at its poles, as well as hydroponic farms that provide oxygen and some food. Should they develop plantation power and try to survive as long as possible, or waste valuable resources to find out what actually happened on their home planet? The base has only one emergency vehicle, capable of carrying two people, capable of returning to the ISS and from there to Earth. What is the reason for the planet's silence? This track was conceived on 25 November and initially I wanted to publish it for spooky season. But for the past 2 months I've managed to make from it something more complex. It was growing in me since then and I've mostly managed to incorporate all the ideas in this version. In inspirations are Massive Attack and little wink wink at the end to "Severerance" opening track. I hope You'll like it at least a bit 😉 Of course NO GENERATIVE AI was involved in creation of this track.

This song began its life with the band all the way back in July, when Chris shared it with us all, having skillfully written it on his electric guitar. Ken added his rocking drums about a week after receiving the invitation to the project. JJ went next, adding his thrilling organ to the mix. Then Josh showed up and completed the rhythm section that Ken began. Tez came onboard a few months later, adding his fiery guitar to the stew, as well.
After the music was all in the bag, it sat for months, awaiting vocals. Chris finally came through with some fairly recently, though, to tie a bow on it. Of course, every great song needs a great producer, and lucky for us, Stephen was up for the task.
This is the latest in a long line of great songs composed by Chris and shared with the rest of Eclectic Collective for us to expand upon. We love working on his songs, as they are always challenging, yet very fulfilling when we finish them. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.
