Factory Setup, the project born from the synergy of Joseeph and Zhino – both residents of Guadalajara's iconic Bar Américas. His new EP, "Indian Prototype", is an exploration of rhythms rooted in the wisdom of groove and the most influential sounds of the nineties and two thousands, without yielding an ounce to nostalgia.

Álvaro Cabana, an active figure in the Madrid electronic scene since the late '90s and owner of the Rotten City label (home to artists like Red Axes, Curses, Eden Burns, and DC Salas), delivers an EP that stands as a testament to his fidelity to his roots and his constant evolution.

The journey kicks off with "Proto", a track imbued with an early progressive essence. Deep basslines intertwine with expansive melodies and solid rhythms, creating psychedelic atmospheres that invite you into an introspective, mysterious, and energetic dance.

Following this is "Tipo", a subtle nod to Underworld. Here, acidic and resonant synthesizers take over the dancefloor, propelled by drums and rhythms designed to unleash euphoria. Lysergic vocals add a hypnotic layer, further immersing you in its danceable energy.

Finally, the EP culminates with "India In Us (UK Mix)", a powerful collaboration with his Argentine compadre residing in Bogotá, Julian Sanza (half of legendary projects like Silver City and 2020 Vision Soundsystem). This track is an ode to more "UK" and "two-thousands" sonorities, featuring booming basslines and frenetic melodies that invite total surrender on the dancefloor.

To kick off the autumn season, Duro Label presents a masterful collaboration from St. Petersburg’s Radial Gaze and Augsburg's Dominik Marz. Together, they present the "We Can Feel It" EP, a three-track odyssey that merges mesmerizing global influences with a propulsive, dancefloor-ready spirit.

Known for his genre-bending and geographically diverse sound, Radial Gaze brings his unique vision to the EP. He’s previously left his mark on esteemed labels like TAU, Feines Tier, and Hard Fist. Meanwhile, Dominik Marz, returns to Duro after a string of highly-praised releases on Innervisions, Exit Strategy, and Belters. Together, they create a sonic fusion that is both an injection of fresh energy and a testament to their combined artistry. 

The journey begins with the title track, "We Can Feel It", a secret weapon for the dancefloor. It’s an energetic cut driven by a solid drum foundation, where a schizophrenic melodic line dances wildly over a comforting piano, creating an exhilarating push-and-pull of pure euphoria. 

Next, "Simple As You" takes the EP into more trancer territories. A booming bassline and mantric synthesizers create a sense of vast space, as chopped-up vocals and acidic synths shimmer in the distance.

Radial Gaze, Dominik Marz - We Can Feel It

Duro Label prepares to ignite the late-year circuit with a high-voltage collaboration between two Madrid-based masters: Chilean DJ and producer Fernanda Arrau and Polish house veteran Ketiov. Their "Mexico Tour" EP, landing December 5, 2025, is a masterful exchange of global house rhythms, completed by a powerful remix from Duro co-head, Theus Mago. 

Fernanda Arrau, a driving force in the South American electronic scene, anchors her sound in the infectious energy of 80s and 90s synthesizers and dynamic Latin rhythms. Ketiov, the deeply personal project of Voitek Taranczuk (half of Catz ’n Dogz), indulges his boundary-breaking instincts, crossing genres with innovative rhythmic play and a deep history in house, disco, and techno. Their combined vision results in an EP that is both a nostalgic nod and a decisive step forward. 

The journey begins with the "México Tour (Original Mix)", a cut purpose-built to scorch the dancefloor. It’s an energizing track powered by an electrifying bassline, distorted vocals, and a solid drum foundation accompanied by relentless, frenzied cowbells.  

The EP then takes a twisted detour via a remix from Duro’s co-head, Theus Mago. Known for his acid-laced house bombs and ability to "weird out" the dancefloor, the "México Tour (Theus Mago Remix)" features a playful bassline and percussions, complemented by melted melodies and a characteristic acid touch. It’s a signature Theus Mago transformation: subtly glitched beats blending into rave-damaged heart. 

Finally, Ketiov offers his own interpretation with the "Mexico Tour (Ketiov Remix)", steering the energy toward classic house sensibilities. This is a secret bomb for the after-hours, built on a solid drum framework, seductive pianos, driving percussions, and a resonant, pushy bassline that propels the groove relentlessly forward.

Duro is honored to present the birth of the “Baba” brotherhood. During the last pandemic year, Rina traveled from Tel Aviv to Portugal, where he met Switchdance. After some trips around the beautiful city of Lisbon, plates and plates of hummus and samosa, a visit to pick up raspberries at a field that used to be a medicinal cannabis farm and lots of hours in Switchdance's studio, 'Baba Music Vol. 1' was alive.

The journey initiates with the Portuguese version of "Give Way", a cut that narrates the moment when you are in a high state of mind and try to describe the process to get back to reality. For this version the duo worked with vocalist Abrão, where a deep and resonant bass, a synthesized voice, electric and acid melodies, and distant pads run through the space. It’s followed by the Hebrew version of "Give Away" where Rina takes control of the vocals. 

"Reak" means "empty" in Hebrew, the cut refers to a state of consciousness where there is nothing in the brain. Playful percussion, acid basslines mixed with digitally distorted synthesizers create the sensation of breaking out reality, an experience blended with algorithms, binary codes and atomized sounds where it is hard to distinguish the realness. A roar to all the Babas around the world to gather on the dance floor. 

To consummate the brotherhood with an embellishment, master Jonathan Kusama came up with two versions of "Give Way". The first one is a futuristic and dystopian dub masterpiece, with distorted bass lines, shady vocals and liquid percussion. For the second version Kusama brings up the energy and keeps the bass flickering and harsh, mixed with mind-bending and unhinged synthesizers.

Duro starts the year by the bonfire with “Piel de Oso", the first collaboration between two beloved in-house artists, Theus Mago & Tyu, and the Spanish rapper, Livia. The cut is abetted by two remixes, the first one comes from Israelis sidereal groovers, Rina X Benji. The second one by the loco weed brothers, Moisees & ZEA, a saiko rebajado track.

The opener is the original cut, an opiate and hypnotic track where Livia's flow is diluted with spirited Latin percussions, a bouncy bass, recondite and baffling melodies creating shadows between fire and smoke. Fresh from smashing the dancefloors across the globe with the genius Switchdance collaboration named "Reak", Rina comes back to Duro alongside Benji. Cut where the duo accelerate the rhythm, creating a percussive and dreamlike night journey where animals and machines dance to the rhythm of drums and flames.

At dawn is the version shaped by ZEA and Moisees, a cut with vocals distorted, taking Livia's voice to a Voodoo and wild spectrum. A wide bass line, accompanied by astral synthesizers, arcane melodies and acid sounds.

After the hallucinate EP "Give Chance A Trance", Moderna and Theus Mago return to Duro with a reissue of their first collaboration work, 'Dog Is Calling You', originally released in 2016 under Chloè’s label, Lumière Noire. The reissue includes the three original cuts and the remix of ‘Dog is calling you’ by Die Wilde Jagd, plus three new remixes by Mexico based artists Mijo & Macaulay, Alinka of Twirl Records, and the Riotvan family Peter Invasion & Gregor Habicht .

The EP begins with the classic "Asesino Sicótico", a booming, dark and insane cut. It's a fusion of techno energy with house music groove. It's followed by "Dog Is Calling You", a slow mix of melted bass, orbital and acidic sounds. To close the original versions is the fan favorite "Papa En Roy", a mixture of classic techno with obsessive and repetitive bass lines, while Moderna's vocals take us on a lunatic journey.

The remix by Mijo & Macaulay of "Asesino Sicótico" is a hypnotic, insistent, and powerful cut. The bass line runs over you while the voice gets lost among synthesizers, pads, and percussion. Alinka surprises us with her version of "Papa En Roy", adding echoes of voices, a liquefying and electrifying bass, distorted percussion, and maniacal synthesizers.

Riotvan friends, Peter Invasion & Gregor Habicht, give us their version of "Papa En Roy", which is a forceful and exciting cut, creating bursts of energy perfect for the dance floor. To close the release is the version made by Die Wilde Jagd, a cut with a reverberated and liberating atmosphere, the drums and bass take you to the climax while the drums hold you firmly in a slow but continuous step.

FACTORY SETUP nace gracias a una serie de DJ sets en formato back 2 back que comenzaron Joseeph y Zhino a mediados de 2022 por el simple hecho de compartir el gusto afín que tienen por la musica. 

Zhino y Joseeph se conocen en Bar Americas, ambos residentes del mítico club de Electronica en Guadalajara, MX, y descubren que tienen gustos muy similares. Joseeph invita a Zhino a un B2B en julio del 2022 y obtienen una gran aceptación del público. Después de varies DJ sets en conjunto y de encontrar el sonido que quieren proyectar, deciden bautizar el proyecto con el nombre de FACTORY SETUP. DJ sets, producciones y edits que van del House al Techno y al Trance, principalmente temas olvidados y desconocidos de finales de los 80 y de la década de los 90 y 2000, todo esto combinado con musica actual que mantenga o se acople a ese sonido.

Leading Mexican label Duro welcome countryman Rigopolar for four of his fantastically expansive and expressive disco tunes.

The now US based Rigopolar is a cosmic explorer and space sound aficionado with credits on the likes of Tom Tom Disco dating back five or so years. His mix of disco and techno has taken him to gigs round the world, podcasts for Soma and remixes on the likes of Beat is Murder.

Brilliant opener ‘Black Mantis’ is a spooky cut with a mysterious lead that takes you into a mystic forest. The drums move things on as sci-fi sounds and withering synths add details to this most evocative musical story. ‘Espiral’ is a colourful, psychedelic scandi-disco classic with looping arps taking you ever further into the stars. Its craftsmanship is second to none as it draws you deeper and deeper in.

The scintillating ‘Time’ is another lush cut with plenty of glistening and glowing synths. Always ascending through the mix, they lift your spirits and hands in equal measure while the deeper drums keep your feet moving. Last of all is ‘Crashes’, a slower and more melancholic track that is paired back to a steamy vocal and rolling drums. A poignant one-finger melody brings tenderness to this brilliantly introspective closer.

This is an exceptional trip though timeless disco with a difference.

Mexico’s Duro label are set to release the first EP from local talent Undefined Pattern, backed with remixes from Damon Jee and Jenia Tarsol.

‘El Desespere’ comes after Undefined Pattern’s debut on the Disque Discos 'DISCORROR IX' compilation and is inspired by the stress and paranoia of living in Mexico. It features three intensely atmospheric tracks with remixes by Damon Jee and Jenia Tarsol.

The fantastic title track gets things under way on a rugged bassline and illuminating synths that speak of a busy urban metropolis. It’s a rumbling disco ride that really takes you somewhere. The dark and heavy disco vibes continue on ‘Estrex Humano’, with its crisp hits and urgent bassline. Edgy synth loops bring the tension and add plenty of drama before ‘Intenxa Salida’ offers a sparser and eerier track, with dystopian, searching synths and melodic details off in the distance that suggest human life amongst a late night urban landscape.

Frenchman, MORE associate and 90s veteran Damon Jee flips ‘Estrex Humano’ into a slow burning and steamy disco stomper with libidinous female vocals, courtesy of Ravintsara and broad synth sweeps. Lastly, ‘El Desespere’ as remixed by Blue Shadow Records boss Jenia Tarsol is a chugger with big rock licks and a filthy bassline.

This is a compelling EP from the fast rising Undefined Pattern and another great package from contemporary disco tastemakers Duro.

The intriguing tale of French duo Kimshies continues... Their sole release from 2004 re-upped into the ether by Solomun in 2018, it triggered a return to the studio after almost 15 years. Making up for lost time, they’ve already dropped two exceptional EP's on Nein. Now comes their Duro debut... And it’s a perfect dark disco match.

Even the title says as much ‘Fucked Up Mama’: a scuzzy, frazzled jam rich in oiled distortion and lighting strike synths and a rising case of venomous acid mid-way, there’s a grit in the groove that’s going to take more than a few lockdown handwashes to feel clean from. It’s coupled by a series of equally forthright remixes: fresh from completing his debut album for Life & Death, Disco Halal alumni Autarkic strips your mama down to her kickdrum undies and redresses her in a dynamic laser laced charmer.

He’s in good company... Nein brethren Cabaret Nocturne makes a welcome appearance with a creeping dark electro twist while La Dame Noir’s Arthur Johnson gets busy with two perspectives; one where the swing and organs provide funky refreshment and a bonus one which takes us right back into the gritty analog mama-fucking attitude of the original. Exceptional. The intriguing tale continues...

From France to Mexico via China: Motel77 take us to rowdy roadside destinations we didn’t even know existed on their Duro EP debut: ‘Savage’

The title track gets the engine running. Buckle up and prepare for a sweltering ride as the Shanghai-based French duo follow up their past successes on La Dame Noir with four moody, heavy missions. It’s hot, it’s sweaty, it’s loaded it’s with big sweeping guitar blasts… It’s the sound of two men in full control of their machines. And it’s backed by three more dark disco treats…

‘Three On The Floor’ raises its third leg and slams it on the table in two very distinct ways: the original slugs into hypnotic existence, layer by trippy percussive layer, while Sascha Funke ups the tempo with his creepier, more technoid flavoured twist.

Finally we arrive at our destination; the epic waves of ‘It Is All Over’. At first it shimmers like a mirage, then slowly the ground opens out beneath and it sucks you up like a sinkhole. You think it’s all over?

It is now. Hotel, Motel77, summer holiday sin… Duro deliver once again.

Despite the challenges and weirdness of the year, boundary-blazing bandoleros Duro continue to shoot through 2020, all-pistols-blazing. Releases have fired from all corners but one of the strongest themes has been the ‘Muy Duro’ volumes. The Mexican label’s flagship V/A series, each EP digs deep into the dark disco psyche, celebrating the label’s widest sonic outposts and reference points with friends and shared spirits from across the world, old and new. Marking a year of the series, with tracks from Israel to Istanbul, ‘Muy Duro Volume 5’ is certainly no exception.

Veteran cosmic groover Tim Paris makes his long-awaited debut with the slouching funk and broken drum swagger of ‘Better Slightly Unchanged’ before two more collaborations join the party with their Duro debuts, all hailing from Israel; Middle Sky Boom and AckerMan whisk us through the stars on ‘Temp Goes High’ while Rina X Benji pay homage to mind alteration on the electroid bumps and asteroid grinds of ‘Koshmaro’.

Professional belly dancers and long-time friends of Duro Hanzo & Yaman follow with ‘Hokus Pokus’. A springy, playful slab of house music laced with pitched bells and a riser that teases and teases, there’s a late 90s/early 200s mischief to this that, like the label itself, just won’t quit. The final word comes from the label bossman Theus Mago and French brother-in-arms Id!r… And that word is techno. Deep bleeps and endless pulsations, ‘Soft Light’ is an epic moment of pure late night hedonism that sits somewhere between Bobby Peru and Plastikman. Blazing boundaries and still fully loaded, the Duro bandoleros keep on shooting.
