With a penchant for off-kilter drum and bass, bass, dub and dubstep, sina meticulously curates sets that mix and match elements of atmospheric trip hop, murky post-DnB and the mischievous 2-step sounds of the 90/00s. Witnessing sina grace the decks at Inward Goods festival was a nostalgic luxury - I felt like I’d stepped into some form of magical Y2k swamp party, where only the best of early 2000s drum and bass were being thrown down. Sina’s contributions to the community extend beyond the decks and into the realm of party planning and label curation (Secret World) whilst also forming ⅓ of the band dregs. As our next episode we meet again an artiste from Los Angeles Interdimensional Warlock (Digital Distortions, Diffuse Reality, Control Data Institute) - is the unapologetically strange, other-worldly electro pseudonym of musical-interest-multiple-personality-disorder (MIMPD) sufferer and producer/DJ 'Scott Charles Findley' (Nordic Trax, Fiji, Iron Box, Infinite Jazz) a humanoid, with deep roots in a wide variety of hyper-dimensional dance music.

Which artists has influenced you the most? 

- I get inspiration from lots of different places, t have nothing to do with electro.. everything from jazz fusion, groovy deep house to indy rock and classical. I love all types of music, truly. In the electrosphere: Dopplereffekt, Wee DJs, Carl Finlow aka Silicon Scally, Fleck ESC, Bass Junkie, Maelstrom, to name just a few. Labels like Mechatronica, Brokntoys, Science Cult always 

What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future? 

- Had to take a little time away from writing recently, but Ive been busy in the studio working on new material, Im glad to say. Currently on the schedule:  A cheeky remix for the great Squaric (Diffuse Reality Records) and an EP for my friends Digital Distortions, coming out in about a month or so.

Which artists/labels is more relevant to you now? 

- One of my favorite thing about electro is that its futuristic-dystopian sound is immune to passing trends in music. Much of the earliest electro is as relevant (or more so) today as it was the moment it was made. Despite being made 30 years ago, by decidedly non-futuristic means, electro still captures that essence of 'the future' in a way thats unique to the genre.

Some standouts for me: Dopplereffekt, Wee DJs, Carl Finlow aka Silicon Scally, Fleck ESC, Bass Junkie, Maelstrom, and labels like labels like Mechatronica, Brokntoys, Science Cult, never dissapoint and have vast back-catalogs of incredible, lasting music that stands the test of time. Impossible to name them all, there are so many!

What inspires you now to create music? 

- Oh man, what doesnt.. Haha. I think, just, living, really. Joy, pain, anger, ecstasy, love, lust, desire, fear, sorrow.. Emotion, in general. Sometimes this happens in a very direct way, other times its not so clear, and Im just making something because, I think it sounds dope! In either case, The act of sitting down and creating something and getting into the sometimes elusive creative flow state is one of life's simplest pleasures, regardless of whatever compells you to enter it.

What set-up do you use when creating music?

- I've bounced back and forth between elaborate setups with lots of synths and outboard gear and totally minimal setups, and Ive found that almost always, less is more. Ive got only one synth, an Arturia Poly Brute, as my kind of centerpiece and sound-design workhorse, and a couple of outboard bits, but my setup is nearly entirely in-the-box and pretty bog-standard stuff. I do quite a bit of creative sampling as the foundation for my sound design, alongside tools like like Reaktor, Max MSP, Softube Modular to take me to weirder places.

As sexy as a room full of bespoke, vintage gear may be, for me, its all about efficiency and workflow, and keeping it tight takes me where I want to go faster than noodling around with expensive modular gears.. Its all a very individual and personal thing, and theres no 'right' way, if it gets whats in your head into something tangible, and DONE.

Electronic Convergence - Verdant Session - Gerard Hanson Special

Serge Geyzel’s music is a bridge between the worlds of classical discipline, jazz improvisation, and the boundless creativity of electronic sound. 

Born in Saratov, Russia, he spent over a decade mastering classical piano before moving to Israel in 1999, where he dove headfirst into the vibrant jazz scene. As a jazz pianist, he performed extensively with ensembles and honed his craft at the Jerusalem Music Academy.

However, it was his discovery of electronic music production that reshaped his artistic identity. 

Now based in Berlin, Serge’s sound is an evocative fusion of early 2000s electronica, post-techno aesthetics, and dark ambient tones. His ability to layer melancholic melodies, intricate rhythms, and immersive soundscapes creates an emotional experience that defies genre conventions. Geyzel’s music is both a deeply personal expression and a reflection of the eclectic influences from his journey across three musical cultures.

DarkateK started collecting records and making electronic music in the mid nineties. After doing a degree in Music Technology he started finishing some tracks and worked a few years (99 - 02) at a Portuguese music distribution company (Music Power) where he spent all of his wages and heard thousands of records. After being in Lisbon's scene for a while, he moved to Brighton where he lived and played many house parties, every club in town and a few festivals like Glastonbury, Sunrise, Waveform, Numb Numbs (Brazil) to name a few, until 2013.

Between 2013 and 2016 he moved between South America, Ibiza and Gran Canaria, and in 2016 he went back to his hometown (Lisbon) where he built his home studio and has been making music since.


DarkateK released his first EP in 2011 in collaboration with Tony Montana which came out on Naked Lunch Records. Since then he has released two solo EPs with T1 Music contributed to compilations on Ovelha Trax and Elberec.

DarkateK released his first vinyl in February 2025 on Ancient Technologies (distributed by Clone) and in May 2025 released an EP on the mighty Bass Agenda Recordings that you can check here:

CGNY was in Berlin in July and was very lucky to catch almost the whole 4 hours of this set by Irakli at Griessmuehle from 9am to 1pm! What a ride! He's very kindly shared a cut from that set exclusively with CGNY! You can catch him the 9/21 at the Electric Pickle in Miami and at Hot Mass in PA on Sept 22! Don't miss! 

Originally from Georgia, Irakli’s early descent into the German capital has seen him corner and develop a side of the local scene and turn it into something of an international fare. Five years ago he created STAUB, one of Berlin’s most celebrated techno parties. As a part of the production duo I/Y, he has been releasing music under the synonymous co-founded label. But most of all, Irakli’s craft behind the decks has been weighed upon by the likeliest of Berlin’s underground venues, namely Tresor, Berghain and Griessmuehle, with his vision of electronic music taken further afield in Europe, and the Americas. In 2017 he founded the Intergalactic Research Institute for Sound with artists like Stanislav Tolkachev, Natalie Beridze, Rezo Glonti and many others. 

Irakli also heads up a burgeoning convey diving into exploratory concepts of ambient, hued by the tones and colors of his homeland, Georgia. Adding orchestral collaborations and sound installations to a field of work outside of the club, Irakli’s expanding platforms and industrious connection to Berlin has seen his entry point into the scene now serve as an outlet into the more abstract, experimental realms of techno. With new endeavors afoot and a creative repertoire to boot, Irakli’s DJ sets, labels and parties always display unique qualities. It does not matter whether he is exploring beatless soundscapes or high energy techno music, Irakli always manages to create something special. - CGNY wholeheartedly agrees!
