Q. How would you describe yourself?
A. easily distracted, busy bee, passionate, nomadic, pensive.. :)

Q. What was your last memorable club night in NYC?
A. nowadays nonstop in may was epic.. that room is honestly the dream in the right context. the lighting and sound is so on point and the energy during my set time was so infectious (I played 3.30-6am before the legend PLO man). also special shout-out to groovy groovy which i played in july :) DIY parties are always extra special when done right

Q. Tell us a little bit about this mix.
A. this is a very honest/ sombre personal diary I’ve been compiling all year. it’s almost for me the musical embodiment of an infinite plane ride.. watching the sun rise and then set and then rise again. also an ode to all the new & old people that were in my life this year.

this year brought lots of purgatory moments, lots of solo transit.. times of isolation and change, also new friends, positive growth, and people coming into my life… so I guess it’s supposed to represent the ups and downs, change and the journey,

I was struggling to finish the mix and it was sitting at 80% complete for the last little while but I feel like the current situation in Palestine </3 really inspired the missing pieces of the mix. for me, I use music and storytelling as an outlet for frustration and emotion generally. lots of old classics in this and pensive moments.. hope the listeners can feel some of that emotion through listening too..

Amsterdam local @nathankofi up for #147. A very well respected member of the Amsterdam team and part of the legendary De School team, Nathan has a range of musical pursuits worth noting. 

We originally connected in 2019 when he invited me for my first ever radio show in Europe, a stream on Red Light Radio for his old radio show. He's also an important member of the lovely @delichting record label which has a suit of beautiful releases. His own dubby, dreamy productions have been showcased on the label & a range of others too!

“Dozzy and Shuttle’s finale unfolded like twilight. A prolonged dusk caressed by an eerie drizzle. Shadows and whispers echoing with the surroundings. Synapses slowly reaching the ground, merging and becoming one with the underground rhizomatic networks. A memorable rendez-Nous within a fractal space. It felt like being at the core center of the matrix, enveloped by a warmth reminiscent of a maternal womb. I found myself in a weightless suspension, envisioning the past, the present and the future, all together in a blink of an eye.”

My first Ozorian experience had a great influence on me, both musically and atmopsherically, this is why I started diving deeper into the soundscapes I heard there and which inspired this show.

Over the years he gathered various drum computers & synths before he moved on to a completely computer-free live set, using Eurorack system as his main and only instrument. The outcome is a percussive flow of electronics sounds, synth stabs and heavy drum hits; a unique groove & feel.
