For the very first time, we travel to the Austrian capital to welcome on board the one and only Xenia Nanou a.k.a. POLYXENE (@xenianogravity). A Greek artist based in Vienna who started out in the music universe as a sound engineer and soon became a thorough digger in her early years, was part of the platform @femdex, has her own monthly show on Movement Radio, and, all in all, has paved her way in the electronic scene evolving into one of the best electro DJ’s in this day and age. Her sets are a powerful blend of electro, IDM, and breaks skilfully combined which might escalate into acid or even techno making dancers go completely crazy. And this podcast is no exception. Episode 19 is dedicated to Sci Fi Electro series, where each artist has created a 15 minute track per side (2 tracks in total), taking you from pure electro tracks to very experimental compositions, sounds and atmospheres. The series is a collection of seven releases inspired by the following films created in the 20th century: THX 1138, 2001 A Space Odyssey, Blade Runner, The Thing, Akira, Terminator and Tron. 
You will listen interpretations inspired by movies: THX 1138 (by Transpac) and Blade Runner (by Scape One). This is our tribute as well to the talented Greek electronic music artist - Vangelis (RIP), who has written music for Blade Runner movie. Tracks have been released only in vinyl format (Electro Records). Enjoy and thanks for listening !

Bio & TL:

Maltese music artist Volph has graced the decks for the last 20 years. It all started as a duo under the A.I. alias, playing mostly old school electro and anything in between.

W133 welcomes Marteka Fair for her first appearance on the label. The North Carolina-based artist blesses us with four originals, which form the most meditative/ hypnotic Techno release on the label to date.
The EP starts off with an ambient piece, 'Charlie’s Meditation'. 
Hypnotizing arps and panning drones lie under the repeated phrase "You are alive" Right afterward, we jump into Techno with 'Daisies'. The fast-rolling groover is complemented with trippy violin picking by Chris Lock.
Next on the menu, we have the EP’s title track 'Ether'. Freaky laser shots and tripped-out synths randomly explode in your face and will certainly make you feel like you’re floating in some sort of vacuum.
The last tune, a nasty rumbler with metallic pipe-like sounds, is called 'All You Zombies'. It pulls you into a vortex and releases you as a zombie indeed!
The release is accompanied by an artwork by Philipp Roth and will be out on all digital platforms on 21.3.2025.
