Rassan

We have the privilege of presenting the Brazilian Bass maestro Rassan. Next to being a DJ, producer and co-founder of the independent record label Nice & Deadly, he is also a member of Confronto Soundsystem and a resident of the Beco Elétrico Festival as well as maintaining a monthly radio show on Komrad.net.

A fierce lover of bass and sound system culture, his research explores the influence it had on the development of various genres of electronic music, showing its many variations in a much wider universe. His presentations propose an immersive listening, guided by references from yesterday and today, uniting all these elements without the obligation to fit into any specific genre and seeking to integrate this vast repertoire into a sound of his own.

As a producer, he has already released on several compilations from different labels and projects such as Anexo, Yellow Island Records, BRUTA, ZONAexp, Maai Records and Deep in Dis intl, where he also released his first vinyl record - " Don't Hesitate EP ". In addition, he also releases regularly on his own label, Nice & Deadly, so be sure to check that out right after you have grooved to DUSK213

Im gonna level wit ya… for numerous reasons my life is significantly more busy than when I started Tangled Worlds. As much as loved putting each radio show together, it now proves impossible to find time to record anything, let alone the hours needed to produce the Tangled Worlds the way I was.

Add into the mix Threads Radio’s unexpected notice to vacate their Tottenham studio and subsequent Extended Radio Silence, and we have a big old void being filled with the relentless stream of top notch music that continues to come my way.

As such I have launched the ‘UNINTERRUPTED’ series to get right in about it, and share all these mint tunes whenever I get a chance to record a mix. Recorded live and WITHOUT the usual rambling V/O, these mixes will convey the smoking hot contents of my inbox direct to your ears, as and when possible.
(I promise Tangled Worlds will return proper eventually - hopefully this will keep the keen amongst you supplied with fresh cuts in the meantime.)
