Guiding us into another week of extraordinary expeditions is the DJ, multidisciplinary artist, and LYL radio resident from Estonia based in our hometown; Julia Mira. Inspired by her background in painting, as a DJ she takes up music as her palette. Her selections are utterly unpredictable, layering bold brushstrokes of bass with euphoric rave climaxes and leftfield experimentalism. Approaching each set like a canvas, a blend of sensations is evoked, leaving sensual, imaginative space for lucid dreams, vivid stories, and an air of mystery to arise.

In between her bi-monthly show Mothernism on LYL, her frequent features on RRFM & Future Intel, donning the mantle of playing at the Red Light Radio of Dekmantel 2019 & furiously reheating that feat again two years later at Selectors, you catch a glimpse of why we have come to adore her so much here and you instantly know we have left episode 244 of the series in the most caple of hands. Berlin-based maverick Stefan Goldmann returns after the exquisite and sonically spatial delights of his Vector Rituals album with two more upbeat tracks that nod to techno but nevertheless steadfastly refuse to follow its stricter rules. 'In Aggregate' and flip track 'Carob' both throb and surge their way to the run out groove, eschewing the usual array of drum sounds to leave the rhythmic urgency down to other elements and turning the genre's on its head. Which is, let's face it, what he does best.

lola:de is a dj and coder from London. Some may recognise her from the infamous ‘dances at the rave’ video that provided some much needed entertainment to the dance community during the 2020 lockdown (you had to be there), while others may be more familiar with her from dj sets at various London venues such as Elektrowerkz, The Glove That Fits, Dalston Superstore and radio stations such as Voices, NetilRadio, komrad and bloop (where she is now a resident). 

Ahead of her next show at Risen festival this April, Lola has prepared a special mix for TechnoFist's final podcast that reflects her whimsical personality and diverse taste. Featuring artists such as Nubian Mindz, Shinedoe, Steve Rachmad, Cinthie, and Alarico, expect an eclectic blend of soulful, funky and hard, tooly beats.

Gregor Tresher kicks off 2015 looking to break new soil with his first ever full release for John Digweed's Bedrock Records.   

Last year was as hectic as ever for the Gregor and he came into it on high from the success of his artist album Nightcolours and having closed out 2013 by releasing an astonishing Laurent Garnier remix of the title track, on his own imprint.   Time to relax a little maybe? Not a chance. January saw the remixed version of the album hit the stores and this was backed within a few weeks by 'Taurus', Gregor's enticing collaboration with Petar Dundov. The summer saw him remix the Chymera classic 'Shadowdancer' and he closed 2014 with the superb 'Midas / Disturber' double-header.   

Somewhat of a musical chameleon, Tresher is as at home creating deeper shades of house for the likes of Moon Harbour and Ovum as he is techno rhythms for Music Man, Cocoon and Drumcode.   With label boss Digweed a huge fan, Bedrock is yet another perfect fit for the German and he opens his account with the mighty, melodic and Kraken'esque 'Goliath' and the razor-sharp lightning bolt that is 'Stormblade'.

Dutch producer and DJ Reinier Zonneveld is racking up accolades about as fast as new fans are losing their shit to his far reaching beats. Having already released on Richie Hawtin’s Minus label and the ever-influential Traum Schalplatten, Zonneveld’s latest, an EP titled Rushchamber, is out on the increasingly important Stil Vor Talent, an imprint run by tastemaker Oliver Koletzki.

The 3-track EP captures the variation Zonneveld is known for and kicks off with “Sharp Bust,” a careening, pure techno number with detuned horns and whirring rushes. The titular track 2, “Rushchamber,” weaves in groovier house influences in the beat, and “Flatchat” levels off somewhere in the middle. The collection reflects the wide palate that Zonneveld, who was raised on classical music, brings to the studio.

The 10010 Records is born tonight. The man behind the label is Ksky, a Dj and a synth lover from Saint-Petersburg. His unfabled vinyl-only ‘Underwater Tales’ are gathered on this debut-release. 
‘Bad Philly’ premiered here, is a great banger. There's something epic in this simple track. The portal straight to the morning dancefloor.  The story told in one breath.
