AEIOU Warmups...the Iron Chef Mix
When the Dust & Grooves team comes to Philly, we try to give them a slice of life. Not just a taste of album covers and rotating wax, but the type of everyday culture that inspires our love for music. So on a recent whirlwind afternoon, we trooped to various corners of town and dropped by the record sanctuaries of Duey FM and Master Sinh, two of my favorite music connoisseurs and collaborators. This mix showcases the random records that found us during our sunny day in Philadelphia. Its also a taste of the madness to come as Sinh, Duey and I polish up AEIOU 2000.

AEIOU for Dust & Grooves

What happens when you take 100 different copies of a Beatles White Album first pressing vinyl record and lay them on top of each other? 
Artist Rutherford Chang, who collects only first pressing White Albums has the answer.
Here is a work in progress, part of his exhibition "We Buy White Albums" at Recess Gallery, NYC.
Rutherford's collection is documented on the vinyl website Dust & Grooves.
