About Time - the remix EP (DDR02) is a genre-trotting journey across sounds, a box of sonic Quality Street just in time for Christmas, putting the original stems in the hands of producers we admire, giving Joeginho's vocals a new sonic lease of life: from deep-end house grooves & futuristic broken beats to Latin/dancehall & late night cruisin' G-funk flavours.

The Remixers:
Alessio Collina @alessiocollina (Trend Records, Skylax) kicks things off straight into the deep house trenches - a pumping, hypnotic UK hip-house groove built for peak time or early morning basement sessions, with Joeginho's vocals soaring over lush pads & a killer driving bassline.

Tokyo's DJ Dreamboy @ryo-takada00 (Tasty Love, Dreamin' Records, Apron Records) takes you on a late-night cruise, shifting gears into West Coast cool: low-slung and synth-heavy, it’s built for driving under neon lights, windows down.

Michele Manzo @michelemanzo (Dirt Tech Reck) on double remix duty, showcasing his incredible versatility. Rollin' brings the warmth with a Latin / dancehall flavour. Golden ventures down a broken beat / hip hop sound, with intricate rhythmics & a gritty shuffle.

Paolo Mosca @paolomosca (Slow Life, Permanent Vacation) under his new downtempo alias I.O.N. delivers a mind-bending dystopian trip with futuristic, shimmering digital textures, deconstructed vocals and complex sound design - and a guitar breakdown worthy of any Guy Ritchie "everyone shoots everyone" scene.

Next up, heavenly father Greg Belson. A true OG DJ, collector & vinyl archaeologist, he’s been amassing an archive of obscure, undiscovered recordings from all over the United States for over 25 years. 

He’s produced records under various guises, including Divine Situation alongside producer Paulo Fulci. He's behind the compilation Divine Disco Series on @CulturesofSoul Records and also hosts the monthly Divine Chord Gospel Show on @dublab, broadcast out of his home town of LA. ⛪

Greg applied his musical nous to Palms Trax's label @CWPT on their excellent tape series too, ‘Saturday Night/Sunday Morning’, mixing two sides of truly transcendent, deeply affecting cuts that speak in turn for the heat of the weekend party and the afterglow of a Sunday morning. ✨

Next up, welcome Dublin-based DJ & house producer Glenn Davis 👋 🇮🇪

In 2012, Glenn began his journey into music production which has seen him work with U.K. house music legend Ashley Beedle (Africanz On Marz) on four releases. Glenn’s Body & Soul Ep, Namida Ep and Special Ep all on (F*CLR Records) gained support from DJs like Laurent Garnier, DJ Moxie, Joey Negro, DJ Cosmo, DJ Nature and many more, with Francois K playing Namida (Africanz on Marz remix) on his WorldWide FM show.

We first came across Glenn when we picked up 'I Need You' on Deeper Groove Recordings, and he's also released music on F*CLR Music, YORE, Wolf Music @nysoul, @LocalTalk, Midnight Riot and Flaneurecords Berlin. 

His most recent release 'Space and Time' on Ascension On Wax displays the best of his production: subtle jazz references, skilful production layering, dreamy deep house chords & vocal sampling. This EP includes a remix from Mark Hand & has been receiving props from DJs Jimpster, DJ Sneak, The Mighty Zaf, Nick Holder, Fred P, Lay Far, Giles Smith, Honey Dijon and many more. 

Glenn has over 25 years of DJing experience that has seen him play many clubs and festivals, including UK festivals Southport Weekender, Liverpool Disco Festival and recently M01 Club Berlin. He‘s been a vinyl collector since the mid-nineties and his passion for finding and playing deep, soulful music never stops.

As part of Dublin’s Groovement Soul collective, he was involved in running club nights in Dublin from 2003 , bringing DJs like Phil Asher, Lay Far, Recloose, Bob Jones, Mad Matts and many more to Ireland.

Other recent work includes a track for prestigious label Local Talk Records in their 13 years later compilation, remixes for DJ Craig Smith, DJ Jauche, DJ Gratts and Irish producer @Balmr for Toronto’s @SelectionsLabel.

He's graciously delivered a mix in his fluid, delicately deep style 🚀

Next up, welcome Sneaker DJ 👋 

His musical upbringing started out in the Detroit and Chicago space, before further influences like obscure Italo, new wave and minimal synth gems. He's based out of his part-time-hometowns Berlin and Dresden, where he operates the TailOut mastering studios with long-time collaborator Jacob Korn. We were first introduced to him via his impeccable edits on Deep Cover #8. In his own words:

"The mix was recorded for the Needsome radio show and was aired only once on Radio Dreyeckland, Freiburg/Germany.

The session is showcasing curation and craftsmanship that was developed on the fly without sync buttons or a defined order. The selection follows a pattern of progressive music - the majority from the 90s, from Detroit and all Western Europe. A vivid mental image of what Sneaker would have envisioned as the retro trend for 2024 unlike all that generic, shallow trance and gabba.

I had and even to this day have the feeling that my fellows in the radio studio didn't realise what they were witnessing. Despite my usual uncommon selections from a background of 30 years of digging, I played the obvious - even classics (you'll be surprised). These are - nevertheless -  unknown to the unknown.

I blended these tunes with dirty friction - cause I dare to play 3 decks. Harmonic mixing - cause I am not deaf unlike most DJs. If you are a selector (LOL) jerking off on your rotary - let me tell you straight to your face: you are lacking skilltalentandinspiration to add MUSICALITY. Cause yours is no art ... cause it lacks artistry!"

Next up, bienvenido Ruben Garcia aka GarcyNoise 👋 Based in Barcelona, he's an ardent collector with a deep love for Jazz, Disco, House and Techno, drawing inspiration from a diverse sonic palette. At the helm of his own mastering sanctuary, Human Mastering Studio, GarcyNoise wears the hat of a producer and mastering engineer. In 2022, he joined the ranks of @MoveOnUpCollective, a Barcelona-based ensemble of House Music Party Makers known for their dedicated approach to cultivating a scene where music and dance take centre stage 💣

"It's a 90-minute journey through the music I favour in my DJ sets, where I'm constantly in pursuit of that elusive groove. Whether it's the commanding pulse of the drums, the resonant thrum of the bass lines or the harmonious union of the ensemble, each element is carefully selected. Next up, welcome Ryo Takada aka DJ Dreamboy 🇯🇵 A DJ/Producer, he started out DJing in 2016 and launched his first foray "congress dance" at KOARA in Jinnan, Shibuya in 2018. In 2020, he had a 90s R&B mix series "Tasty Love" and in September of the following year, he began a regular show on the French Internet radio station LYL Radio. 

He also has some dope mixes out on NTS Radio, Balamii, Dublab and others around the world. He piqued our ears with his 2024 Midnight Love release on @TimeToPlayRecords out of Italy, including a @zopelar remix, the title track a true manifesto of Japanese deep house: minimal, intense, balanced, and dreamy. 

Launching 11th April 2025, he will nurture his own new label, Dreamin' Records, specialising in dance music, with the first release out now. His guest mix is a slick dream ride through some downtempo funky jams, Japanese street soul & the dreamiest, most paradisiacal house vibes ☁️ glistening Cloud 9 house music

Next up, benvenuti DJ, producer & musician Luca "DJ Rocca" Roccatagliati. His first productions date back to the late 90s, under the name Maffia Soundsystem from the Italian club of the same name, but he has quite the roll call since those days. He's collaborated with names such as Howie B, Zed Bias, Dimitri From Paris @dfp, Daniele Baldelli, Francois K @francoiskofficial and @Jazzanova producing singles, remixes and albums for some much-loved labels, such as Compost, Rekids, Hell Yeah, Slow Motion, IRMA, @ToyTonics, Defected, Soul Clap Rec, Faze Action Records @fazeaction, Delusion Of Grandeur, @claremont-56 & Bordello A Parigi. 

DJ Rocca created the electro disco project Erodiscotique with Dimitri From Paris and Daniele Baldelli, with several EPs on Gomma, Toy Tonics, Razor'N'Tape and Hell Yeah records, an album on Japanese BBQ and some tracks included in the compilations Playboy Mansion and Back In The House published by Defected records and mixed by Dimitri himself and Bob Sinclair. 

With Daniele Baldelli he made the albums “Podalirius” and “Quagga”, on the English label Nang and several EPs for Is It Balearic?, Nein Records, Rogue Cat & File Under Disco. As a producer, DJ Rocca, is part of the projects Ajello (with Taver), Supersonic Lovers (with Marcello Giordani) and Crimea X (with Jukka Reverberi). He's remixed artists such as Isolee, Pete Herbert, Bjorn Torske, Chris Coco, Dimitri From Paris & Andrew Weatherall. With the award-winning Italian jazz musician Franco D’Andrea he formed the Electric Tree project, a trio of contemporary music, balanced between jazz and electronic, with a double album released in April 2016 for Parco Della Musica Records, album of the month for the magazine Musica Jazz. 

With the iconic IRMA label he has two albums under his belt: as Triorox (together with pianist Giovanni Guidi, Joe Rehmer and Gianluca Petrella), and one with the CocoRocca project together with the English DJ/producer Chris Coco. Released in March 2025, 'Cocorocca: Discoteca' was born from late summer of 2019, when DJ Rocca and Chris Coco spent time together at the intimate La Casella festival in Umbria, Italy, where they chatted about Italo disco, the Rimini/Riccione riviera in the 90s and classic Italian clubs. Inspired by their conversations and imagined memories of scenes they weren't part of, they set out to make the music which over time, evolved into this, an imaginary retro-futuristic club blending past influences with future possibilities. It draws on dub, house and disco and is now resented on this wonderfully escapist full length which starts slow and dreamy, raises the pulse then slows down to a nice emotive finish. A fine reimagining of some classic sounds.

DJ Rocca also has his own label Danny Was A Drag King where he releases releases by Ajello, Supersonic Lovers, Luminodisco, Verdo & Marcello Giordani. His sets are pure eclecticism for the dance floor, having globetrotted from London to Oslo, Brussels to Berlin, Vienna to Barcelona, Zurich, Bern & Helsinki to Monaco, Paris & Lyon; Croatia, Turkey & Japan to China, USA and Brazil.

Welcome Hikko Mori 👋 Before hopping behind the decks, Nashville-based photojournalist turned DJ and producer Anthony Merriweather, aka Hikko Mori, found an outlet with music in beat making. Whether sourcing sounds from obscure private press records to scouring the internet for the best tracks to fit a mood or venue – he prides himself as a crate digger that prioritizes curation. 

May 2025 release Free Will is a lovely cosmic jazzy house roller (go kop on Bandcamp!), and he currently frequents venues around Tennessee and has shifted his focus toward international gigs, Youtube, music production and a bi-monthly jazz rave hosted by his label Hikko Works.

His sound is characterized by soulful harmonies, retroinspired grooves and jazz-infused elements - and his guest mix stays true to this.

"The vinyl only mix was inspired by my early clubbing days. It was around 2012 when I discovered record shops and clubs around my city - not just as a guest, but as a DJ and music lover. Looking back these years now, I was really lucky because there was nice tech house, house and techno coming out. The time between 2010 to 2014 seems to be a golden era for that kind of music. Right now I have the feeling that it’s coming back and people start to feel that groove and minimalistic sounds again. So, I am more than happy to rediscover my older collection and give these records a spin again."

Welcome Inés, a Chicago rare groove acolyte and founder of underground party and edit label Work Ethic. She calls legends Mark Grusane & Darryn Jones mentors and just had an RA mix feature, so respect where there is pedigree! Expect deep disco, gospel and soul presented in the typical Chicago fashion. The mix in her words:

"This is a live recording of a party I played at here in Chicago called "Bricktown Sound" that my friend Olivia throws. I wanted to include this recording because it's a great example of what I often play like at home - I'm not at all playing for the recorder here, just doing my job and helping people let loose. Lots of quick blends (this venue is not a club, so the monitor situation means often you just have to slam it in). This recording feels very Chicago to me, and reminds me of why I love this city: any weekend you can walk into a bar here and there’s gonna be someone playing dope music, and two dozen people are gonna be dancing and having the time of their lives. I hope people will listen and picture that. I feel very connected to these records so I'm happy to share them with others."

Benvenuto / Marhba Issam Dahmani 👋 a DJ and music producer from Perugia 🇮🇹, born to Moroccan parents 🇲🇦, his style blends house, Balearic and old-school Afro influences. Founder of the label Malizia Dischi, he has collaborated with Quattro Bambole Records, Mister T Records, Chiwax, Archeo Recordings, B.K.A. Records (Beat Kiking Again), and M.A.D Records, consistently promoting an authentic, dancefloor-driven musical vision.

Welcome Berlin-based digger, DJ & producer Tom Bolas. He runs Average Records @averagerecordsbln with a killer YouTube channel too, showcasing good or weird (and often rare) music with top-shelf digs

The mix in his words:
"The idea was to play some of the tunes that I enjoyed most through the summer months and to capture that feeling again as we are moving into autumn. I meant to finish the mix a few weeks ago in time for the last summer days, so let’s hope we get an Indian summer in Europe. I’ve had a string of edits come out recently on the amazing new @SmuttyEdits label as well as Duca Bianco and a 10 year-old Reggae-Disco edit is coming out on a local Berlin label in the not too distant future as well. I’ll be in Istanbul in late October / early November to play at @Arkaoda and a couple other places with Venus Exotica - looking forward to it."

Rimaye is a French-German producer/DJ based in Miami whose journey into music began with a decade of classical training before turning to the decks at just 15, spinning at underage parties across Paris. Blending deep-rooted musicality with an instinct for rhythm and emotion, Rimaye has crafted a sound that bridges cultures. Now co-hosting the monthly party Tanz Tanz, they bring international talents such as Joe Claussell, Antal, Cinthie, Eternal Love, Desiree and more to Miami’s dancefloors.

The mix in his words:
"I tried to show a different side of "world" and "Afro" music than it usually sounds. It's raw, drummy, with house and bass house influences, fast and groovy."

Benvenuto Lance, a DJ and producer from Salerno, Italy 🇮🇹 specialising in Italo disco, Funk, Afro, and Boogie grooves.

His sets are a mix of retro-future vibes, sparkling synths and killer basslines, creating a cosmic, dancefloor-ready journey. A dedicated vinyl collector, he has collaborated with labels such as Tropical Disco Records @tropicaldiscorecords, Maledetta Discoteca @maledettadiscoteca and Disco Mind Records @disco-mind-records.

He recently released vinyl with Disco Mind Records (“Inediti”) and Maledetta Discoteca (“Musica Para Boliche vol. 2”), and more exciting vinyl releases are coming soon!

Dust Down Records invites four of the scene's most dynamic producers to reinterpret the sound of our first EP from younger brother Joeginho.

This EP is a genre-trotting journey across sounds, a box of sonic Quality Street just in time for Christmas, putting the original stems in the hands of producers we admire, giving Joeginho's vocals a new sonic lease of life: from deep-end house grooves & futuristic broken beats to Latin/dancehall & late night cruisin' G-funk flavours.

The Remixers:
Alessio Collina (Trend Records, Skylax) kicks things off straight into the deep house trenches - a pumping, hypnotic UK hip-house groove built for peak time or early morning basement sessions, with Joeginho's vocals soaring over lush pads & a killer driving bassline.

Tokyo's DJ Dreamboy (Tasty Love, Dreamin' Records, Apron Records) takes you on a late-night cruise, shifting gears into West Coast cool: low-slung and synth-heavy, it’s built for driving under neon lights, windows down.

Michele Manzo (Dirt Tech Reck) on double remix duty, showcasing his incredible versatility. Rollin' brings the warmth with a Latin / dancehall flavour. Golden ventures down a broken beat / hip hop sound, with intricate rhythmics & a gritty shuffle.

Paolo Mosca (Slow Life, Permanent Vacation) under his new downtempo alias I.O.N. delivers a mind-bending dystopian trip with futuristic, shimmering digital textures, deconstructed vocals and complex sound design - and a guitar breakdown worthy of any Guy Ritchie "everyone shoots everyone" scene.

Benvenuto Alessio Collina 👋  a house music enthusiast and vinyl lover, he's the founder of Trend Records @trend-records and in 2017, Alessio launched a new alias, Hill @hillvibe dedicated to vinyl-only releases and analog live sets. 

His tracks have been played by legends like @alexander-robotnick, @move-d, @Secretsundaze & @Kerri-Chandler and he's had recent releases on Skylax @hardrockstriker as well as contributing a UK hip-house remix of @joeginho for Dust Down Records' second EP  'About Time - the remix EP',  releasing 12.12.2025 (this Friday!), that features in his guest mix too - if we do say so ourselves, a pwoper mix for house heads.
