Channeling the energy of this great mirror of water in the middle of nature. Through the sounds, the melodies, the sensations, the connection and the love shared in community. A Hybrid Set inspired by nature itself and its sounds. Dedicated to people who want to connect with the very essence and spirit. Recorded on the shores of the Mayan Blue Cenote in the middle of the Mayan jungle, a sacred place for these ancestors.

This is a mix of many of my favorite Afro Downtempo tracks, including several of my unreleased edits as well as some classics that I have been playing over the last 2-3 years. 

African music holds a special place in my heart. Whether it be Morocco, Mali, Angola, something inside be resonates with the frequency of rhythms and melodies, and most of all the voices. Without the need to understand what is being said I feel the spirit of so many of these artists in me. 

This mix is a journey through the deserts, jungles, and villages of Africa, featuring remixes and edits of many amazing classic artists such as, Rokia Traoré, Oumou Sangaré, Ali Farka Touré, Fatoumata Diawara, Sonah Jobartah and more. 

Most of popular music in North & South America as well as Europe can have its roots traced back to Africa. The vibrant and diverse cultures of mama Africa have spread around the world influencing cultures in many ways. 

Please take the time to listen to the original albums and music of these artists, they are a great inspiration to me and musicians all around the world.
