Making their debut on Anjunadeep with their first ever release are Cubicolor - an emerging act from the Netherlands with an exciting flair for melody, and an impressive command of deep house grooves.

Title track "Next Planet" was an instant favourite with the label A&R team, skilfully building a slow-burning epic from a simple, repetitive riff, accompanied by brooding melodic flourishes and stirring climactic pads.

"Soul Chords" showcases a more laid-back side to Cubicolor's sound, incorporating jazz and funk influences as chugging grooves and a wandering bassline are paired up with dreamy atmospherics. Perfect poolside material.

Again highlighting their deft touch, "New Roads" grows from subtle beginnings into a deep sun-kissed gem, guided by rolling low-end and infectious piano stabs.

Crosstown Rebels assemble an A-star team of pioneers and legends for the next mammoth release on the label. ‘Touch Your Body’ comes courtesy of Felix Da Housecat, Jamie Principle and Vince Lawrence aka The 312 with sublime remixes from Moodymann.

Felix Da Housecat explains how “growing up on south side of Chicago I was a huge fan of Frankie Knuckles and Jamie Principle. Vince Lawrence was over at Chicago Trax and was the blueprint A&R and catalyst there signing anything hot. By this time I was around 14 and I had just made my first record ‘Fantasy Girl’, with DJ PIERRE. Over the years I was becoming obsessed with Jamie’s sound. We soon became friends and always discussed working together and it took 15 years. Frankie’s passing woke me up. I felt I wanted to do something special and it was time to fly back to Chicago to my roots. I wanted to go back where it all began and work with the originators. I called Vince and said I need your mind, guidance and your studio and all of us in one room to bring that spirit back in my soul. I told him we had Jamie Principle and the rest I guess is history. I wanted Crosstown for the project as I felt Damian was the only guy worthy and would understand and treat this project right. House Music needs this right now.. So here we are.”

Felix Da Housecat’s career spans more than thirty years with two Grammy nominations. Never failing to impress, he now brings us his latest venture as producer of The 312 project. Jamie Principle is one of the most recognisable voices in the history of house music, featuring on some of the first house records ever made including the seminal ‘Your Love’ with Frankie Knuckles. Business man, producer and Trax Records organizer Vince Lawrence is another true Chicago house music innovator, responsible for the pivotal house track ‘On & On’ with Jesse Saunders and the ‘Virgo Tracks’ releases. Mahogani Music founder Kenny Dixon Jr. aka Moodymann grew up in Detroit with his first several releases appearing on Carl Craig’s Planet E imprint. 2016 saw him next in the series to mix the respected ‘DJ-Kicks’ with outstanding results.

Over the course of time more and more clubs were enquiring about him- it was time to make the jump.
Following interviews on the radio, TV and in the newspaper his first song was introduced to the local hit list.
In 4 weeks Marcel's music reached second position. Since then synth dance music has become increasingly popular and is not just enjoyed by people at home as in the past.
Marcel produces music not just for the money but also for the sheer pleasure of making the music, whether dance music, classic synthpop or dreams.
Fans of this music are always delighted and always find something new in the music.
His success is demonstrated by his position in the charts.
Marcel has since 1996 also begun to produce music for other bands.

Firmly established as a bedrock of the progressive and melodic techno sound, Anjunadeep has scaled new heights in the past 12 months with support coming from acts as disparate as UK techno baron Dave Clarke, Laurent Garnier, Eric Prydz, Groove Armada’s Andy Cato and stadium-filler Deadmau5 – the latter commenting on Michael Cassette’s Anjunadeep anthem ‘Ghost In The Machine’: “I haven’t felt this good listening to a piece of music since Eric Prydz’s ‘Melo’ -10/10”. 

Showcasing the full spectrum of the label’s diverse sounds, Anjunadeep 03 is the latest annual label collection and features 29 largely unreleased tracks that range from deep, dark and hypnotic techno sounds to upbeat, uplifting electronic house grooves.

Beginning on the lush techno of Stephen J Kroos’ ‘Micrsh’ and the beautifully brooding deep house chasms of Martin Roth’s ‘Deep Style’, Anjunadeep A&R James Grant’s CD1 mix continues to build through melodic techno and progressive textures with tracks and remixes from Underworld, Spooky, Michael Cassette, Andrew Bayer and promising newcomer, Soundprank.

On the second disc, Anjunadeep mainstay Jaytech shows off a slightly more upbeat and uplifting electronic house sound that touches on nu disco, electro and more classic house grooves and includes Jaytech’s own forthcoming anthem ‘Djembe’, as well as deep audio offerings from Solarity, Dinka, PROFF, Interplay and Maor Levi. 

To celebrate the release of this flagship release, Anjunadeep is holding a brace of transatlantic launch parties. The first will take place at the world-famous Ministry of Sound on Friday 4th February, where Jaytech and James Grant will be perform a 4 hour back2back set for The Gallery.
