Aftergore is a series of AUs taking place after Undertale's neutral endings, in which a new human enters in Frisk's wake.
Aftergore CDIV, the Impossible/Dirty Hacker ending, details an ending in which a curious player messes with code to make a certain boss both dead and alive at the same time. The results are...illogical. Humans are to be treated as threats to the timeline above all else, and that is a crime punishable by death.
If you're curious on the AU name, all the Aftergores are numbered with Roman numerals. "CDIV" translates to "404."

Toriel takes the role of Asriel. The player of this world manipulated the files to create a series of impossible circumstances in which Toriel was both dead and alive at the same time. Why? Perverted curiosity, of course. This error caused the entire Underground to fundamentally change, and its residents scrambling to change with it.
