NUGZ: It was a huge honor to open for my favorite DJ and producer Deekline. Words cannot express my gratitude and appreciation for everyone involved in making this event so ridiculously fun. The Rhino is more beautiful, stronger, louder, and has a lot more bass thanks to our community who so graceously contribute their time and talents. This breaks set has it all; nuskool, oldschool rave vibe, dirty, funky, deep, electro, hip hop samples, sexy vocals, and dark sinister overtones. Starts around 126 bpm and moves up to around 131 bpm.

DJMK: Happy Thanksgifting Rhino fans!  It may be getting chilly outside but the Rhino momentum continues to be toasty.  This was a really fun set to play, building a dance floor is one of my favorite things to do, and this was just the formula this year. I was so pleased to share the decks with Deekline along with my fellow Rhino DJs, I've been a big fan ever since hearing my first breakbeat.  Enjoy!

We cruised to the trash fence for a Tuesday morning sunrise cruise on the @dusty-rhino-1 - a blissful adventure to watch the sun peak over the mountains in the Black Rock desert (and play music to the Burning Man marathon runners, lol)with a gathering of some of my favorite people.

Playing sunrise on an art car is always one of the most unique experiences I think you can create on playa – this was an absolutely surreal morning & I am so grateful. 

Hope you enjoy this set as much as I did playing it (and reliving it over and over in my head).

Clarkie: My new found home has been quite comfortable at the Dusty Rhino.  For The Dusty Safari, we brought in a breaks superstar Mafia Kiss to headline the main room.  I was left at peak time upstairs where groovy house was in order.  I'm really excited how my all house set turned out.  It's a mix of funky tech house and deep grooves aimed at moving a dance floor at peak times.  I hope it to be a party starter for years to come.  Enjoy.

DJ Dane: Thank you for one of the most powerful experiences of my DJ life.  I love the opportunity and challenge inherent in a closing set - the unknown of the crowd's energy or musical journey they've taken for the night - the invitation to experiment with my full range of music - the ability to play and play until the lights come on.

This set starts with an hour of booty-shaking breaks before transitioning to a house-y lullaby.  In the transition, there is the magic that awakens butterflies in your belly and a smile on your face.  It literally took my breath away. I've mixed in recordings of the actual crowd noise to try and recreate what cannot be recreated.  Thank you and lots of love!

Yes, the Rhino is all grows up now and as they've grown the organizers have remained true to their roots and loyal to the people that have helped get the camp to where it is today, which I very much appreciate. I've been featuring a lot of Florida breaks on my podcast, The Armory, lately and you can certainly hear that influence in this set which I played in front of a rabid crowd in the main room at the Rhino's Pre-Burn at Mighty on August 2nd. Mystr Hatchet: "When I discovered that my favorite art piece on the playa this year was scheduled to burn on Friday during my sunrise set on the Dusty Rhino, I knew a powerful sound was needed to compliment the beautifully symbolic moment. I was inspired to create a mix that draws on the euphoria you feel during a sleepy sunrise and then transcends into a joyous celebration of the sun and love. To be surrounded by friends and lovers intertwined, mimicking the burning Embrace sculpture as it eclipsed the sunrise, was a transformative experience that was intimately magical. The serendipity of the playa is unmatched and I am so grateful for being part of something so mystically exquisite."

The Dusty Rhino has been throwing this party right before Thanksgiving for the last several years.   It's goal is to give thanks to the community and give back in some way.   We did raise some money for funds that help in the prevention of the extinction of Rhinos around the world.   And we did throw an epic party.   This is my live set recorded that night and is a set of house, funk and deep beats designed for peak time dancing.

Dusty Rhino 33 - DJ Dan came out and rocked the Rhino for our joint Dusty Rhino/Opulent Temple party we hosted Tuesday evening of the Burn this year.  It was an eerie night out in the middle of the playa as the dust storm rolled in.  Dan appeared from nowhere and stepped up and rocked this great, rocking and somewhat old school set.  Great preview to our Afterburn party at Public Works we are hosting in October 17....DJ Dan will be coming to rock it again for us...

Great big thanks to the Dusty Rhino crew for throwing another amazing event. This was one of the more rockin’ parties I’ve played in quite a while. Dj Dan and company brought it downstairs and the energy upstairs was tuned up all night. As usual, Alvaro had the place jumpin’ when I came on the decks so the first thirty minutes is dirty house (quick shout out to Ejagz and Lushbunny for a couple gems in there). We leveled things off and settled in to a melodic groove around 2:30am. The dance floor was hot till the very end so thank you, from the bottom of my heart. It was an amazing night.

Live mix from Monarch in San Francisco December 12, 2015.  Gets goin' with deep, funky, sexy, edgy tech house in the first 25 minutes, then drops into some dirty breakbeats reminiscent of the early rave days coupled with some ghetto tech funk.  This was my first time playing on their impeccable Void audio system, something I have wanted to do for a long time. The end result is a seamless mix of many different genres, a perfect balance of familiar and now.

Live mix from It's A New Day + Breakfast Of Champions Jan 1 2020 on the Dusty Rhino stage 4:30-5:30pm. Bouncy dirty funky house with a couple slappin' breaks. The vibe at the event was off the charts, and this set captures a lot of dance music history just as the event has for 20 years. It was a huge honor to help create something as epic as what went down on the streets of San Francisco on the first day of the new decade.
