Teleport Art Car Festival was an absolute blast! So grateful for the invitation to DJ out here in the Mojave Desert, what a well orchestrated festival. And it was so fun to see all my SoCal friends! I love electronic dance music, this was a dream come true to play on this killer sound system aboard the beautifully designed Giving Tree Art Car. It was absolute magic to see everyone dance and groove into the desert night! 

I had prepared a 90 minute set of dreamy, positive, sunshine tunes expecting that I'd be playing in the heat of the day until sunset for a bunch of weary travelers who'd be building shade structures and pitching tents.  

But the sound system had some technical difficulties, so all the time slots were shifted back.  I ended up playing a full 2 hour set right after the sunset.  People were ready to dance, so I mostly improvised on the fly to accommodate a much higher BPM & energy level than anticipated.  It was hella fun to blast some badass bass lines on this sound system.  The last few tracks, I brought the vibe back into a disco groove for a smooth transition into DJ Voy Age's set.

Conditions were brutal with 40mph+ wind gusts and 100F+ temps in the daytime, but years of Burning Man events taught me to stay in the shade all day and party all night!

This Disco Pool Party (aka Pond Party)at Rainbow's End Festival in Nevada City, California was one for the books!  Wow, what a lovely afternoon full of a fantastic music selection from a lineup of 5 amazing DJs.  My heart was bursting at the seams to see so many of my dearest friends dancing in the sunshine, floating in the water and slack lining high above the pond.

I was dressed up like a Disco Pirate (of course), and towards the end of my set, Jordan Brown (https://soundcloud.com/jordanfbrown) (coincidentally dressed up like a Dream Captain) got behind the decks with me for a fantastic B2B sesh.  Jordan Brown + Dusty Beez = "Cool Breeze".

We had so much fun clowning around and battling at the helm for control of the USS Dancefloor!

After the sun set, we faded the music and went indoors to continue to party all night long.   Before I knew it, I found myself spinning records with the homies until 11am before finally taking a "Disco Nap."  

Eureka!  There really is gold at the end of the rainbow.

What a fun night playing out in the city!  This was a fundraiser for "Galactica" - the Interstellar Skateboard art piece that a friend is bringing out to Burning Man 2023.

Epic night of music and art playing at Stimulus - a Burning Man fundraiser where ticket sales went to over 15 participating artists fundraising to bring their art installations out to the playa this year. 

This was my first time playing on the main stage at the Midway.  I've seen so many of my musical heroes perform up here, so it was really an honor and privilege for me.  Amazing Funktion-One sound system and beautiful stage and lighting.  We had a live painter on stage coloring a canvas of the Galactica skateboard art piece that my friend is building.  

I put my heart and soul into this set.  Had a couple crates lined up depending how the vibe was, but in the moment selected bass forward tracks with synth timbres that I knew would sound powerful on this sound system.  And on the fly, the event producer requested a soft landing for the live dance performance that followed.  I love you San Francisco and the Burning Man community!  The dance floor was absolutely on fire, thank you for coming out and making this such a special night.

The 2nd annual Rainbows End Festival was such a blast.   I'm in love with this year's new addition of the chillout room for ambient downtempo and experimental music.  This one was really special.  Seated on the floor, lights down low, my sweetheart laid down with her head on my lap, while I DJ from a collection of my favorite emotive, vibey tracks for all my friends lounging on cozy couches, giant beanbags, and pillows at the end of a big night of dancing and partying. Celebrating Aunik’s birthday and all us Virgos with an epic evening of music and dancing.  Beautiful sunset views of the Bay from the balcony dance floor.  Kept the decibels respectful to the neighborhood with a crate of silent disco headphones.

Favorite moment was probably watching Aunik with his giddy little kids, blowing out his birthday candles, surrounded by friends, bubbles floating everywhere, a golden sunset in the sky while I’m playing a soulful emotive You Are So Beautiful remix.  Aunik & Jordan followed into the night with higher energy sets, and absolutely killed it.

A sultry, worldly, moody, fun, dark, dancey, DJ mix.  Recorded live in a huge private home in Soda Springs, CA near Lake Tahoe - a weekend gathering to celebrate our dear friend Deniz’s birthday, intentionally themed around sharing our gifts with one another.  This DJ mix was my gift to give.
The set was mostly improvised, and at nearly 4 hours, much longer than expected.  I was only planning to play some downtempo tunes to kick off the evening, but the vibe crescendoed into chill house grooves, and after midnight peaked into banging house and techno tracks.  A deep historical dive into my audio library, tracks both gold and new.

Dance floor was on fire.  My friends can cut a rug.  Let's do that again!

Round 2 of an epic weekend birthday party in Tahoe!  An impromptu b2b set - Brad & Deniz making a collaborative debut, throwing down for hours into the night.  If Tahoe Crescendo (Vol. 1) from the first night was a 4 hour energy climb from downtempo to techno, then Tahoe Allegro (Vol. 2) is riding a long ridge across the peaks - lively and spirited and just pure fun.  Complementary tastes and styles resulted in musical synergy.  Memorable moment: Alley-oop to Deniz taking control of the DJing for a few extra tracks, so Dad Brad could go feed the baby!
