the United States of America loves to hate Poor people, but more so now, it's as if they glorify the hatred of Homeless and continue to paint them as "bad" yet only around 19% of homeless report to have ever been incarcerated or have any sort of long jail stay. I've lived on the streets homeless for 7 years on and off from Los Angeles to Portland then back home in Oakland and I've met all sorts of different people from all kinds of walks of life that had become homeless. Don't let the media, and the societal trend that is fed to the masses about anyone. We are all just trying to be human. We are all just humans being. imagine how hard it is to lose everything and then have no human look at you the same way, assuming you are a criminal or are just disgusting because you Lack. We are only as strong as our weakest link so why do we take more from and make the homeless population have less by taking away their freedom to sleep or sit in public places, not let them use restrooms, or just blatantly ignore them when they ask you for help. They are not all criminals and even if they were all criminals why do they not deserve a second chance like the wealthy get with every law they continue to break? 
please if you can't give to the less fortunate at least say hello to them. they do have hearts and have lived all kinds of different lives with love and family and they now know what it's like to have nothing. Don't ignore them, belittle them or categorize them into any kind of group solely because they have no home.

after becoming homeless in Portland Oregon, Xmas eve with nothing but my bmx, a backpack with a few clothes and what I was wearing that day I really needed something or someone to help pick me up. After sitting alone under a bridge watching the rain turn into snow flakes I thought to myself "if I only had a partner in times like this, I bet she'd lift my spirits and help keep me warm" I laughed at myself and said "her name would be Sara and shed help with my serotonin and then the song was written/recorded under that bridge the same exact night. in this recording you can really hear the feelings I was going through I believe. hopefully this song creates a good depiction of being homeless under a bridge, alone, with nothing and nobody, connecting you to the situation I was in at that time. I hope you enjoy my story in song.

Choppa Kitty is a jazz pianist that grew up in the San Francisco Bay area surrounded by musicians and artists. Not only within her immediate family, but also within everyday interactions from surrounding influential places, and people. 
After Choppa's uncle renowned jazz drummer Gaylord Birch passed away choppa would put down the sheet music and go on to focusing on the Business side of music.  Choppa opened "Ocean Beach Studios" in the sunset district of San Francisco at age 24. She reached out to highschool musician friends to help run the studio, later, and eventually, sold her part to the remaining two friends still invested in the studio. After a few other business endeavors, and traveling the country, Choppa Kitty would finally pick up music once again. She composed, wrote and recorded her first own classical piece on the piano after a 17 year hiatus. she started a blues jazz band with high school friend Brian Whipp (lead singer and guitarist from bear with a car on top) in long beach CA. She did all this while learning to mix and record beat tracks living in her car durring covid 19. Now Choppa Kitty focuses on infusing her background of jazz piano into hip hop, trap and lofi beats.
