Dustystaytrue takes pride in beating the odds. The acclaimed artist hails from New Haven, Connecticut — a city where he grew up witnessing two different worlds: one full of affluence and opportunity, and another full of crime and generational curses. Throughout his childhood, he was more accustomed to the latter. Carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders from a young age, he turned to music as a form of therapy. Inspired by the likes of Lauryn Hill, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Kanye West, DMX, and Drake, he dedicated himself to his craft and learned to appreciate his adversities for shaping him into a resilient, one-of-a-kind talent destined for success.   In the grand scheme of things, Dustystaytrue is only getting started, but he’s already reached heights that many can only dream of.
